  • Patent number: 8352562
Abstract: A first computer system is monitored for alterations of a program landscape which includes multiple applications configured to operate on the first computer system. An alteration of the program landscape is detected and aspects of the alteration of the program landscape are determined. A catalog of additional computer systems which are associated with the first computer system is accessed. That a second computer system of the accessed catalog of additional computer systems should receive an event notification is determined. An event notification including information corresponding to the determined aspects of the alteration of the program landscape is generated. The event notification including the event information is sent from the first computer system to the second computer system.

  • Patent number: 7895349
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer systems and program products implementing a messaging protocol. The messaging protocol may be a messaging protocol for transporting a message across a messaging landscape in a collaborative network. Techniques include sending a message that is defined to include a structured message header with information related to at least one component from a set of components defined by a protocol, including protocol version information in a message such that a component of a messaging landscape can interpret the message based on the version information, defining a message as one of a class of messages, end-to-end acknowledgement for messages, and security for headers and payloads of messages.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 22, 2011
    Assignee: SAP Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Frank Oliver Hoffmann, Juergen Frank, Steven T. Winkler, Christoph Hofmann

  • Patent number: 6338388
Abstract: A rotating tag bar is positioned below a progressive cavity pump stator for supporting at least a portion of a rod string a rotor. A tubular housing is secured to the stator and is fitted with a rotatable platform. The platform blocks downward stretch of the rotor and then rotatably support the rotor on a thrust bearing. Thereby, rotor-imposed loads on the platform translate into tensile loads directed into the stator, which is suspended from tubing string, lessening the load on the rod string and thereby both reducing the need for extreme accuracy in rotor positioning and reducing rod string and tubing wear. Optionally, a no-turn tool transmits load from the stator into the casing. In operation, the rotor is landed to contact the platform. The rotor is then lifted a distance less than the anticipated stretch so that when in operation, the rotor sets down on the platform and transfers at least a portion of the rod string load into stator.
