  • Patent number: 9482312
Abstract: A rope drive anchoring assembly includes a pulley, a rope, and a rope connector. The pulley is adapted to be rotationally mounted and has an inner surface, an outer surface, and a fastener opening extending between the inner and outer surfaces. The rope engages at least a portion of the outer surface of the pulley and is adapted to receive a drive torque, which causes the pulley to rotate. The rope connector couples the rope to the pulley, and includes a fastener, a threaded bolt, and a spring. The fastener extends through the fastener opening, and has a first end, a second end, an outer surface, and an opening through which the rope extends. The threaded bolt is threaded onto the fastener threads, and the spring is disposed between the threaded bolt and the inner surface of the pulley.

  • Patent number: 9303743
Abstract: An actuator includes an actuator housing, a ball screw, and an axial soft stop assembly. The ball screw extends through the actuator housing and has a first end and a second end. The ball screw is coupled to receive a drive force and is configured, upon receipt of the drive force, to selectively move in a retract direction and an extend direction. The axial soft stop assembly is disposed within the actuator housing. The axial soft stop assembly is configured to be selectively engaged by the ball screw and, upon being engaged thereby, to translate, with compliance, a predetermined distance in the extend direction, and to prevent further movement of the ball screw upon translating the predetermined distance.

  • Patent number: 7775120
Abstract: An electromechanical actuator test system includes an inertia simulator, a first load actuator, a second load actuator, and a test system control. The inertia simulator simulates the inertia of at least a portion of a system that is moved by a test actuator. The first load actuator supplies a first load to the inertia simulator to simulate at least one or more dynamic system loads, and the second load actuator supplies a second load to the inertia simulator to simulate at least one or more steady-state system loads. The test system control supplies the first actuator commands and the second actuator commands.

  • Publication number: 20100076716
Abstract: A portable electromechanical actuator test system includes a command generator, a rechargeable battery system, an electronic power supply, and a power controller, all disposed within a portable housing. The command generator at least selectively supplies test actuator commands to, and receives operational feedback signals from, an electromechanical actuator (EMA) controller. The rechargeable battery system and electronic power supply each supply electric power. The power controller is coupled to receive the electric power supplied from both the rechargeable battery system and the electronic power supply, and is operable to at least selectively supply electric power to the EMA controller and to an EMA that is controlled by the EMA controller.
