  • Publication number: 20110252122
Abstract: A broadcast message may be initiated or received at a peer node. The node obtains an uplink bandwidth available for broadcasting the message over the network and a number of copies that can be broadcast based on the available bandwidth. The node determines a range of key values for finger nodes that should receive copies of the broadcast message from a finger table. The finger table entries include references to finger nodes and key values associated with the finger nodes. The node determines which other nodes should receive copies of the broadcast message from range of key values and the number of copies. The node also determines an End ID for each recipient node. A copy of the broadcast message and corresponding End ID is sent to a finger node if the finger node's key value is within a range of key values specified by the End ID.

  • Publication number: 20110197947
Abstract: Provided are novel interconnect wire network assemblies and methods of fabricating thereof. An assembly may include conductive portions/individual wires that, in certain embodiments, are substantially parallel to each other. The assembly also includes two or more carrier films (i.e., the front side and back side films) attached to opposite sides of the wires. The films are typically attached along the wire ends. The films are made from electrically insulating materials and at least the front side film is substantially transparent. The front side film is used to attach the wires to a photovoltaic surface of one cell, while the back side film is used for attachment to a substrate surface of another cell. These attachments electrically interconnect the two cells in series. In certain embodiments, one or both carrier films extend beyond two end wires and form insulated portions that allow much closer arrangements of the cells in a module.

  • Patent number: 7982201
Abstract: A system and method for identifying the levels of one or more liquids in a vessel using an optical imager and one or more appropriately positioned light sources and an optical imager for capturing digital images of the illuminated vessel. A laser line generator is positioned oppositely from the imager and oriented to project a laser line through the vessel so that it may be imaged by the imager. A second light source, such as an LED, may be positioned above or below the vessel and oriented to project light downwardly or upwardly through the vessel and its contents. Captured images of the vessel are then processed by a programmable device, such as a microcontroller, to determine the levels of materials in the vessel based on the optical characteristics revealed in the captured image.

  • Publication number: 20110121384
Abstract: A trench-gate semiconductor device is disclosed, in which the p-layer (10,6) which forms the body region (in a n-channel device) extends adjacent the trench (4) deeper into the device, to lie adjacent a lower trench electrode (3b, 3c). Since the p-layer extension (6) forms part of the channel, it must be very low doped, in order not to increase unduly the channel resistance in the on-state. The re-placement of some of the out-diffusion resistance in the drift region by the (smaller) channel resistance results in a lower over-all Rdson. In the off-state, the p-layer forms, together with the underlying n-drift layer, a non-abrupt function, so that the depletion region in the off-state extends closer to the top surface (2) than for a conventional RSO trench-MOS, being split between the p- and n-layers, rather than all being in the n-drift region.

  • Publication number: 20100320532
Abstract: A Trench gate MOS field-effect transistor having a narrow, lightly doped, region extending from a channel accommodating region (3) of same conductivity type immediately adjacent the trench sidewall. The narrow region may be self-aligned to the top of a lower polysilicon shield region in the trench or may extend the complete depth of the trench. The narrow region advantageously relaxes the manufacturing tolerances, which otherwise require close alignment of the upper polysilicon trench gate to the body-drain junction.
