  • Patent number: 12086060
Abstract: Row addresses received by a module are mapped before being received by the memory devices of the module such that row hammer affects different neighboring row addresses in each memory device. Thus, because the mapped respective, externally received, row addresses applied to each device ensure that each set of neighboring rows for a given row address received by the module is different for each memory device on the module, row hammering of a given externally addressed row spreads the row hammering errors across different externally addressed rows on each memory device. This has the effect of confining the row hammer errors for each row that is hammered to a single memory device per externally addressed neighboring row. By confining the row hammer errors to a single memory device, the row hammer errors are correctible using a SDDC scheme.

  • Patent number: 12086922
Abstract: Ray tracing systems and methods generate a hierarchical acceleration structure to be used for intersection testing in a ray tracing system. Nodes of the hierarchical acceleration structure are determined, each representing a region in a scene, and being linked to form the hierarchical acceleration structure. Data is stored representing the hierarchical acceleration structure, including data defining the regions represented by a plurality of the nodes. At least one node is an implicitly represented node, wherein data defining a region represented by an implicitly represented node is not explicitly included as part of the stored data but can be inferred from the stored data. Intersection testing in the ray tracing system is performed in which, based on conditions in the ray tracing system, a determination is made as to whether testing of one or more rays for intersection with a region represented by a particular node of a sub-tree is to be skipped.

  • Patent number: 12085281
Abstract: An engine can utilize a combustor to combust fuel to drive the engine. A fuel nozzle assembly can supply fuel to the combustor for combustion or ignition of the fuel. The fuel nozzle assembly can include a swirler and a fuel nozzle to supply a mixture of fuel and air for combustion, which can supply a primary fuel supply and a secondary fuel supply. Increasing efficiency and reducing emission require the use of alternative fuels, which combust at higher temperatures or burn at faster burn speeds than traditional fuels, requiring improved fuel introduction without the occurrence of flame holding or flashback.

  • Patent number: 12083455
Abstract: A filter assembly for fluid filtration having a push-activated lock and release mechanism. A push filter design activates a filter key lock upon insertion and extraction, where the filter key may be used simultaneously as a lock and as an identifier for particular filter attributes. The filter housing assembly may be attached to, and removed from, a filter base by a push-actuated release. Upon insertion, the filter key shifts the filter lock longitudinally to receive interlocking segments. Upon extraction, the same axial push shifts the filter lock further to align the interlocking fingers within gaps that allow for easy extraction. The specific key lock design allows a user to identify and match certain filter configurations received by the mechanical support, and reject other filter configurations.

  • Patent number: 12086583
Abstract: Methods and systems for monitoring use, determining risk, and pricing insurance policies for a vehicle having autonomous or semi-autonomous operation features are provided. According to certain aspects, a computer-implemented method for generating or updating usage-based insurance policies for autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicles may be provided. A request to generate an insurance quote may be received via wireless communication, and with the customer's permission, risk levels associated with intended usage by the customer of an autonomous or semi-autonomous vehicle may be determined. An insurance policy may be adjusted based upon the risk levels and the intended vehicle usage. The insurance policy may then be presented on the customer's mobile device for review and approval. In some aspects, the vehicle may be rented, and the intended vehicle usage is measured in distance or duration of vehicle operation. Insurance discounts may be provided to risk averse vehicle owners based upon low risk levels.
