Abstract: The exemplary embodiments provide a program binder for a resilient integrated circuit. An exemplary IC comprises a plurality of composite circuit elements, a state machine element (SME), and a plurality of communication elements. Each composite circuit element comprises an element interface and a selected circuit element which may vary by element type, and which may be configurable. An exemplary program binding method includes assigning a first action to a first computational element having a first type; assigning a second action to a second computational element having a second type; and establishing a first data routing, through a selected communication element, between the first computational element and the second computational element. In the event of detection of a fault with a composite circuit element or a communication element, the various actions may be re-assigned and new data routings established.

Abstract: A touch-responsive capacitive apparatus includes a transparent substrate having electrically connected first pad micro-wires and electrically connected first interstitial micro-wires formed in a first micro-wire layer. The first pad micro-wires are electrically connected to the first interstitial wires. Electrically connected second pad micro-wires and electrically connected second interstitial micro-wires are formed in a second micro-wire layer. The second pad micro-wires are electrically connected to the second interstitial wires. The first or second micro-wire layers are supported by the transparent substrate and pairs of first and second pad areas define corresponding touch-responsive capacitors. A first interstitial micro-pattern is dissimilar from a first pad micro-pattern or a second interstitial micro-pattern is dissimilar from a second pad micro-pattern.

Abstract: A port (60) for axially staging fuel and air into a combustion gas flow path 28 of a turbine combustor (10A). A port enclosure (63) forms an air path through a combustor wall (30). Fuel injectors (64) in the enclosure provide convergent fuel streams (72) that oppose each other, thus converting velocity pressure to static pressure. This forms a flow stagnation zone (74) that acts as a valve on airflow (40, 41) through the port, in which the air outflow (41) is inversely proportion to the fuel flow (25). The fuel flow rate is controlled (65) in proportion to engine load. At high loads, more fuel and less air flow through the port, making more air available to the premixing assemblies (36).

Abstract: A method for bearer reservation, maintenance, and use in a communication system is performed by an intermediary function (IF) in the enterprise network. The IF processes a user plane reservation request for a flow of user plane data from a sourcing device, and determines a set of bearers to transport the flow of user plane data. The IF requests from at least one access network the determined set of bearers, and receives from the at least one access network an allocated set of bearers, wherein the allocated set of bearers comprises one or more bearers. The IF receives the flow of user plane data from the sourcing device. The IF receives an indication that at least one of the bearers in the allocated set of bearers is unavailable, and prevents at least a portion of the flow of user plane data from being transmitted over the default bearer.

A resilient aircraft engine mount comprises a base and a pair of opposed spiral springs in parallel forming a clevis with the base. A first spiral spring of the pair of opposed spiral springs has a first center opening extending therethrough. A second spiral spring of the pair of opposed spiral springs has a second center opening extending therethrough that is concentric with the first center opening for accepting a clevis pin. First and second spiral springs are each comprised of a rectangular cross section beam. The resilient aircraft engine mount is tunable in three translational axes to support three degrees of freedom vibration isolation. Two or more resilient aircraft engine mounts provide six degrees of freedom vibration isolation. Resilient aircraft engine mounts attach the aircraft engine to a pylon structure and help isolate vibratory forces.

Abstract: A system and method for analyzing the utilization of diagnostic imaging modality devices by receiving and combining patient information from a radiology information system and image series information of patients from diagnostic imaging modality devices. The system may produce facility reports analyzing temporal utilization of the diagnostic imaging modality devices. It may also query a picture archiving and communication system to identify changes made to the image series information and update the facility database to reflect changes that are identified. The radiology information system may use a standard protocol, such as HL7, that is different from and not interoperable with a standard protocol, such as DICOM, used by the diagnostic imaging modality devices and picture archiving and communication system. The system may produce facility-independent reports for multiple imaging facilities that may be combined into regional reports by a regional information system.

Abstract: A management capability is provided for a virtual computing platform. In one example, this platform allows interconnected physical resources such as processors, memory, network interfaces and storage interfaces to be abstracted and mapped to virtual resources (e.g., virtual mainframes, virtual partitions). Virtual resources contained in a virtual partition can be assembled into virtual servers that execute a guest operating system (e.g., Linux). In one example, the abstraction is unique in that any resource is available to any virtual server regardless of the physical boundaries that separate the resources. For example, any number of physical processors or any amount of physical memory can be used by a virtual server even if these resources span different nodes.

Abstract: A tire changer machine includes a control system that monitors a rotational position of a sensitive feature associated with a wheel rim and tire during a tire change procedure. The system adjusts operation of the machine to avoid damaging the sensitive feature, which may be a valve stem or a wheel sensor such as a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) sensor.

Abstract: Methods for providing notification during an online casino game is provided. One method includes detecting a first gameplay session of the online casino game, the first gameplay session associated with a first user. The method then detects a second gameplay session of the online casino game. The second gameplay session is associated with a second user, and at least part of the second gameplay session occurring simultaneously with the first gameplay session. The method then determines whether the first user and the second user are members of a common group. If so, then the method displays a message to the first user during the first gameplay session. Corner protectors are configured to protect the mobile computing device as well as couple to shoulder straps and a palm cover configured to secure to the hand of an operator. Abstract: A multiprocessor computer system comprises a sending processor node and a receiving processor node. The sending processor node is operable to send packets comprising part of a message to a receiver, and to send a message complete packet after all packets in the message are sent. The message complete packet includes an indicator of the number of packets in the message, and the message is recognized as complete in the receiver once the number of packets indicated in the message complete packet have been received for the message. The sender tracks acknowledgment from the receiver of receipt of the sent packets; and notifies the receiver when it has received all packets comprising a part of the message.

Abstract: A digit tip protection device comprises a concave puncture-resistant member adapted to protect a pulp of a user's digit. The puncture resistant material is thin and flexible to avoid interfering with the tactile sensation of the digit. The concave member has an adhesive layer adapted to adhere to the digit. The concave member has a first end extending over the pulp of the digit below the nail, a second end extending over the pulp of the digit below a first joint of the digit, and a lateral and medial edges extending along the digit. The digit tip protection device is adapted to be worn on a digit, such that the digit tip protection device substantially covers the pulp of the digit, and extends along the palmar surface of the digit below the distal interphalangeal joint. The adhesive layer may be covered with a protective layer of material.

Abstract: An indirect evaporative cooler for cooling inlet supply air from a first temperature to a second, lower temperature using a stream of liquid coolant and a stream of exhaust or purge air. The cooler includes a first flow channel for inlet supply air and a second flow channel adjacent the first for exhaust air. The first and second flow channels are defined in part by sheets of a membrane permeable to water vapor such that mass is transferred as a vapor through the membrane from the inlet supply air to a contained liquid desiccant for dehumidification and also to the exhaust air as heat is transferred from the inlet supply air to the liquid coolant. A separation wall divides the liquid desiccant and the coolant but allows heat to be transferred from the supply air to the coolant which releases water vapor to the counter or cross flowing exhaust air.
