  • Patent number: 10070197
Abstract: A method for improving quality of experience in a communication between a first plurality of video sources (Cam1, cam2, cam3) to a second plurality of video clients (C1, C2) via a video composing module (VSE) in between said first plurality of video sources and said second plurality of clients, and triggered by a dispatching unit (D) controlling which clients and video sources are participating in said communication, and which respective composed videos (VcompC1, VcompC2) are to be provided from said video composing module (VSE) to respective clients (C1, C2) of said second plurality, comprises the steps of :—receiving from said dispatching unit (D) client related parameters (CP1, CP2) indicating display and layout configuration of said respective composed video (VcompC1, VcompC2) to be provided to said respective client (C1, C2),—identifying a subset of video sources from said first plurality for being coupled to an intermediate video composing module (VSRR)—determining an optimized video feed configuration

  • Publication number: 20140327781
Abstract: The present invention relates to a video surveillance system where this system comprises a surveillance camera for capturing video images of an observable area of the surveillance camera and a surveillance server for distributing the images captured by the surveillance camera (fully or partially) or parts thereof to each surveillance client device of a plurality of surveillance client devices for rendering the images captured or said parts/selection thereof. The surveillance camera and the server are coupled over a first link and the surveillance server is coupled to each surveillance client device.

  • Publication number: 20130321417
Abstract: A method is disclosed for transmitting a 3D representation of a 3D scene model, the 3D scene model being information defining geometry and material information for a set of 3D objects and light sources and being stored in a server, from the server to a first client device, over a data communication network, wherein the 3D representation corresponds to a virtual viewing point for a first user associated with the first client device, the method comprising: deriving in the server, from the 3D scene model, representation information for the 3D objects; performing compression of the representation information; forwarding the compressed representation information towards the first client device for display; wherein the representation information further comprises illumination information for the 3D objects, and wherein illumination information for the 3D object corresponds to more than one virtual viewing point for a user; a server and a routing means.

  • Patent number: 8542743
Abstract: When generating an encoded composed video stream based on a common video stream and at least one input stream of personalized information, at least one intermediate stream is generated by mixing the at least one input stream into the common video stream in predetermined positions of the common video stream, taking into account a macroblock grouping in slices, and the at least one intermediate stream is encoded, thereby generating at least one encoded intermediate stream by using the macroblock grouping. The common video stream is encoded using the macroblock grouping, thereby generating an encoded common video stream. The encoded common video stream and the at least one encoded intermediate stream are combined and filtered such that per frame and per slice sequence number only one slice of one stream is selected for forming the encoded composed video stream.

  • Publication number: 20100125628
Abstract: The present invention relates to a Method for assembling a multimedia asset and subsequent provisioning of said multimedia asset to a client device, a related system, a related multimedia asset assembly device and a related client device for assembling a multimedia asset and subsequent provisioning of the multimedia asset to a client device. This method comprises the step of assembling the multimedia asset by selecting a subset of multimedia fragments from a plurality of multimedia fragments. The fragments of the subset of multimedia fragments are determined based on a personal path through a play-map where the play-map indicates relationships between the multimedia fragments of the plurality of multimedia fragments. The step of determining the personal path through the play-map additionally is based on at least one user signal from the client device. The at least one user signal indicating customer preferences of an end-user of the client device.

  • Publication number: 20090157895
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for broadcasting from a local source a local stream suitable for synchronizing with a main stream accompanied by correlated main markers broadcasted from a main source, the method comprising the steps of: receiving the main markers from the main source; and broadcasting a local stream and simultaneously broadcasting local markers correlated to the local stream, wherein the local markers are related to the main markers.

  • Publication number: 20090150950
Abstract: A channel has a plurality of subchannels, and is sent to a media terminal through a network. The channel is sent over a single multicast tree of the network, where the multicast tree includes nodes. The media terminal sends an update message to a node in order to indicate subchannels the media terminal wishes to receive. The node selects indicated subchannels and sends only those subchannels to the media terminal.
