  • Publication number: 20070205286
Abstract: A device that records, stores and displays UPC's and other codes that are ordinarily stored on various cards. Thus, the device eliminates the need to carry multiple cards incorporating bar codes. By recording the image of the code, storing the image and being able to retrieve the code later, one has to carry only one device that can replace hundreds of bar code bearing cards.

  • Publication number: 20070046067
Abstract: An aerodynamic aid for vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, trains, airplanes and motorcycles. A cylindrical roller is rotatably mounted in the path of airflow over the vehicle's body. When the air begins to flow, the roller rotates and causes air resistance of the vehicle to change. The roller can increase or decrease air flow through spaces where there is negative pressure.

  • Publication number: 20060288580
Abstract: A pair of compressible, high-friction bodies in fingernail, toenail or other clippers near the sharp edges thereof, to grip and retain the nail being cut during and after cutting. By compressing the bodies, the nail is not projected from the blades during or after cutting, but is instead retained until the clippers are released.

  • Publication number: 20060288589
Abstract: A self-leveling spoon that has a handle and a bowl mounted together with a rotary coupler. The center of gravity of the bowl is offset from the axis of rotation of the rotary coupler, and is preferably near the bottom of the bowl. This permits the bowl to always maintain a level orientation, regardless of whether the handle is rotated correctly, and regardless of whether the bowl is full or partially filled.

  • Publication number: 20060294270
Abstract: A secure and convenient data storage and retrieval system includes a housing in which a data storage device is mounted. The housing also has a wireless communications device so that input/output devices, such as desktop computers, cellular telephones and personal digital assistants can communicate with the data storage device. No human input can be made to the housing, but the input/output devices can store and retrieve data to and from the data storage device whenever the housing is in the range of the input/output devices. The communication is automatically established and the data can be accessed through the input/output devices. When the housing leaves the range of the input/output device, any data are erased from the memory of the input/output device.

  • Publication number: 20060179111
Abstract: A method of sharing information among potential dating people that eliminates the need to type the same personal information into every dating web site. Personal data are entered by a user in a main web site, and a linked second dating web site is (and possibly third and more dating web sites are) selected to have access to the data. The user then instructs the main web site to permit the second web site to access the database information, such as by checking a box on the main web site that represents the second web site. A different user can then access the first user's personal information on both web sites, but the first user did not have to enter the same data in multiple dating web sites.

  • Publication number: 20060167767
Abstract: A countdown pricing method in which products are offered for sale at a displayed price that decreases as time elapses. If a consumer wishes to purchase the product, he or she communicates an offer price to the seller, or the seller's web site acting as the seller's surrogate, which then determines whether a sale can be completed. So long as there is at least one such product available, the offer price is greater than the currently advertised price and a lowest acceptable price and the sale has not expired, then the sale is completed. Preferably, the seller notifies the consumer of either the acceptance or rejection of the offer price.

  • Publication number: 20050281019
Abstract: An illuminating device for an enclosed receptacle, such as a purse or handbag. Because it is difficult to see the contents of a purse due to darkness, the invention includes a light-emitting membrane electrically connected to a power supply and a switch. Actuation of the switch turns the membrane on to illuminate the interior of the purse. The membrane also has a backbone, such as a pair of malleable wires, mounted to it, such as by double-sided tape. The wires, upon bending of the membrane and wires to conform to the interior shape of the purse, retain their deformed shape, and maintain the membrane at the deformed shape. The opposite side of the double-sided tape preferably adheres the membrane and backbone to the interior of the purse or other receptacle.
