    Abstract: A companionway enclosure assembly is provided for enclosing the companionway of a boat. The companionway enclosure assembly comprises a flexible cover, a support rod, a weight member, and a plurality of fastening assemblies. The flexible cover is extendible over the companionway and is supported and maintained in a stretched out condition over a companionway by the support rod which traverses the width of the flexible cover and by the weight member. The fastening assemblies secure the companionway enclosure to the boat and further maintain the flexible cover in a stretched out condition.
