  • Publication number: 20240123551
Abstract: An apparatus for hole drilling in a substrate is provided. The apparatus includes a laser system configured to apply a laser beam onto the substrate for removing material from a set of areas on the substrate by directing the laser beam onto predefined positions corresponding to the set of areas on the substrate in a sequence. The apparatus includes a ventilation system configured to produce a fluid flow along one or more sides of the substrate. The apparatus controls the laser beam such that the laser beam is sequentially positioned according to a first laser beam movement direction and a second laser beam movement direction.

  • Patent number: 11941572
Abstract: Various embodiments are disclosed for providing machine learning routines with peripheral device data to infer driver activity and location. Peripheral device data may be collected on a peripheral device having a machine learning routine executing thereon to infer driver activity and perform improved estimation of driver location. Using driver activity and location estimation, contextually relevant delivery workflow assistance may be automatically provided to a delivery driver or other individual without requiring manual input, thereby improving driver safety and operational efficiency.

  • Patent number: 11931855
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to planarization of surfaces on substrates and on layers formed on substrates. More specifically, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to planarization of surfaces on substrates for advanced packaging applications, such as surfaces of polymeric material layers. In one implementation, the method includes mechanically grinding a substrate surface against a polishing surface in the presence of a grinding slurry during a first polishing process to remove a portion of a material formed on the substrate; and then chemically mechanically polishing the substrate surface against the polishing surface in the presence of a polishing slurry during a second polishing process to reduce any roughness or unevenness caused by the first polishing process.

  • Patent number: 11369510
Abstract: A mouth guard includes a tray configured to encompass at least anterior teeth of a dental arch. The tray includes a pair of protrusions extending away from the tray, each protrusion configured to generally overlie a canine of the dental arch. The protrusions are configured to engage one or more anterior teeth of a dental arch, whereby damage to the at least anterior teeth of the dental arch is reduced or prevented.

  • Patent number: 8766689
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and device for phase-frequency detection in a phase-lock loop circuit. The method comprises receiving compare edge of a reference clock signal and compare edge of a feedback clock signal, maintaining a phase/frequency detector, PFD, state machine with three PFD states, UP, DOWN, and IDLE, based on the received compare edges of the reference and feedback clock signals, recording current and previous time the state machine stays in UP or DOWN states, generating an UP or DOWN signal based on transition of PFD states and the comparison between recorded current time and recorded previous time; and outputting a digital control signal to a feedback frequency control device based on the UP or DOWN signal. A device and system is arranged to execute the method according to the present invention.

  • Patent number: 5025817
Abstract: Disclosed is a spherical vanity case, which is formed of an upper cover, an intermediate unit and a bottom unit. The upper cover has a mirror pivoted thereto to define with the intermediate unit a receiving space for keeping small toiletries. The intermediate unit has a center hole into which a hollow shaft upstanding from the bottom unit is fastened, a plurality of compartments on its top surface for holding dusting powder and rouge cake, and a plurality of bottom slots radially arranged around a circle respectively for receiving a powder make-up case each. Each powder make-up case has a bottom projection respectively movably fastened in a corresponding groove on the top surface of the bottom unit such that relative rotation of the intermediate unit against the bottom unit drives the powder make-up cases to slide in or out of the bottom slots. The hollow shaft of the bottom unit defines therein a space for carrying a lipstick.
