    Abstract: A computer security system and method comprises a security device (1) which incorporates a connection arrangement (12i) which is configured to be connected to a communication port of a computer (2). The security device (1) comprises a communication module (14) which is configured to communicate data between the security device (1) and a remote management device (5). The security device (1) further comprises a control unit (13) which is configured to control remote data communication between the communication port of the computer (2) and the remote management device (5) via the connection arrangement (12) and the communication module (14). The control unit (13) is configured to enable the remote data communication in response to an authorization signal received from the remote management device (5) and the control unit (13) is configured to disable the remote data communication when the control unit (13) is not authorized by a signal from the remote management device (5).
