Publication number: 20210229242Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and a method associated with the device. With respect to the device, it is a work holding and clamping device, which increases the usable span to almost twice its stored length. This device has an inner and outer assembly. The inner and outer assemblies are nested or telescopic. Each assembly is made of a square or rectangular tube that has a jaw affixed to one end. The inner assembly contains a locking mechanism to allow for length adjustment. When arranged so that the jaws are on the same side of the respective assemblies, the clamp is capable of a span that is almost equal to the length of the inner assembly. When arranged so that the jaws are on opposite sides of the respective assemblies, the clamp is capable of a span that is almost equal to the sum of the length of the inner assembly and outer assembly.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 22, 2021Publication date: July 29, 2021Applicant: Wolf Innovations LLCInventor: Barton Steven Wolf

Patent number: 10805412Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present application are directed to automatic adjustment and sharing of content. In one example, a distributed storage service may access content and automatically execute recognition processing for the content. The distributed storage service may automatically execute a clean-up operation on the content based on a result of execution of the recognition processing. A version of the cleaned-up content may be automatically transmitted to a distributed storage associated with a user account of the distributed storage service. As the distributed storage service is executing automatic operations on behalf of a user, the distributed storage service automatically generates a push notification indicating that the content is cleaned-up and ready to be shared with other user accounts of the distributed storage service. In some examples, the push notification may comprise the cleaned-up content. The push notification may be displayed on a client computing device.Type: GrantFiled: May 15, 2017Date of Patent: October 13, 2020Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Emmanuel Miranda-Steiner, Christopher Steven Wolf, Can Mehmet Comertoglu, Chia-Jiun Tan

Patent number: 10459337Abstract: The present invention relates to photoresist compositions comprising a base resin such as a monomer capable of radical polymerization upon photoinitiation, and photoinitiator molecules such as a diketone, and multicolor photolithography methods. Photoresist compositions comprise photoinitiator molecules that are exposed to a first radiation source, thereby exciting the photoinitiator molecules from a ground state to a pre-activated state. The pre-activated state molecules are then exposed to a second radiation source in selected locations, thereby deactivating the pre-activated state molecules in the selected locations. Any remaining pre-activated state molecules are exposed to a third radiation source, exciting such remaining pre-activated state photoinitiator molecules to an activated state. Polymerization of the base resin is then initiated.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2016Date of Patent: October 29, 2019Assignee: University of Maryland, College ParkInventors: John T. Fourkas, Daniel E. Falvey, Zuleykhan Tomova, Steven Wolf, Katie Brennan

Patent number: 9814565Abstract: A suture anchor device and method for attaching soft tissue to bone includes an anchor body and a suture locking wedge movably disposed within the anchor body. The suture locking wedge includes lateral portions which engage slots or windows in the anchor body. Tension applied to one limb of a suture causes the suture locking wedge to translate and rotate to a position which compresses the suture, thereby locking the suture in the anchor.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2015Date of Patent: November 14, 2017Assignee: ArthroCare CorporationInventors: Seth A Foerster, Steven Wolf, Emil Karapetian, George W. White, David Gregoire, Pablo Catania, Christopher Rodriguez

Patent number: 9636101Abstract: The present disclosure includes a knotless suture anchoring system for anchoring a suture with respect to a body cavity, including a bone anchor body with at least one rigid anchoring structure to secure the anchor body within the body cavity. The anchor body has a longitudinal bore and cross-pin extending across the bore. A retention member is coupled to the anchor body with a break notch therebetween, which may selectively fracture to separate the body from the retention member. Additionally there is a suture cutout on the retention member and a relief feature positioned along the break notch and approximately diametrically opposed from the suture cutout, the relief feature acting to alter the force dissipation along the break notch during the separation of the retention member from the anchor body.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2012Date of Patent: May 2, 2017Assignee: ArthroCare CorporationInventors: Steven Wolf, Vincent Tangherlini, Norman S. Patent number: 9364210Abstract: A suture anchor device and method for attaching soft tissue to bone includes an anchor body and a suture locking wedge movably disposed within the anchor body. Tension applied to one side of a suture causes the suture locking wedge to translate and rotate into a position which compresses the suture, thereby locking the suture in the anchor. A resilient or spring biasing member within the anchor device urges the suture locking wedge to compress the suture, facilitating suture locking.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2012Date of Patent: June 14, 2016Assignee: ArthroCare CorporationInventors: David Gregoire, George W. White, Steven Wolf

Patent number: 9226742Abstract: A suture anchor device and method for attaching soft tissue to bone includes an anchor body and a suture locking wedge movably disposed within the anchor body. Tension applied to one side of a suture causes the suture locking wedge to move in a translational and angular dimension to a position which compresses the suture, thereby locking the suture in the anchor. The anchor body includes tracks or slots which guide the suture locking wedge from the unlocked open configuration to the locked configuration.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2012Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: ArthroCare CorporationInventors: Steven Wolf, Emil Karapetian, George W. White, David Gregoire
