  • Publication number: 20250189071
Abstract: An adjustable joint for coupling large industrial fans to stands, wall mounts, and the like. The adjustable joint includes a motor plate coupled to a first end of a double headed connector and a receiver coupled to an opposing end of the double head connector. The connector is substantially symmetrical and comprises a first head disposed at one end and a second head disposed at an opposing end. Each head is configured to rotate with respect to the motor plate and the receiver, respectively, when a sufficient rotational force is applied to the fan. Each head includes a torsion spring which sets a threshold amount of force required to rotate the fan, ensuring that that fan does not move unless manipulated by a user. Each head also includes means for selectively disposing the fan at one of a number of predetermined angled positions relative to the adjustable joint.

  • Publication number: 20250167236
Abstract: Synthesis of lithiated carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber (XNBR-Li) and its use as a functional binder for the sulfur cathode of lithium sulfur batteries (LSBs) are disclosed. Compared to carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber (XNBR), XNBR-Li has stronger adhesion to sulfur and carbon black particles, forming a more uniformly dispersed and robust sulfur cathode structure. Furthermore, due to the presence of the —COOLi groups, XNBR-Li has shown a greatly improved ability to trap lithium polysulfides (LPS), which helps to suppress the shuttle effect of LPS in LSBs. In addition, the cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data indicate that the use of XNBR-Li as the binder can accelerate lithium-ion diffusion kinetics in the sulfur cathode.

  • Publication number: 20240150566
Abstract: A rubber composition includes an ethylene-propylene-diene base terpolymer (EPDM) and exhibits advantageous aging properties in a high temperature environment. For example, it retains at least 30% of elongation at break and/or at least 70% tensile strength after heat aging at 350° F. for 504 hours; or it retains at least 50% of elongation at break and at least 70% tensile strength after heat aging at 392° F. for 70 hours. Such excellent heat aging performance has qualified HEATBOSS® EPDM for type E applications or basic F application per SAE J200 or ASTM D2000. The diene of the EPDM may be 5-vinylidene-2-norbornene (VNB), 5-methyl-ene-2-norbornene (MVNB), or another diene having a peroxide crosslinking efficiency (E) of at least 1.

  • Publication number: 20180224867
Abstract: An autonomous unmanned road vehicle and how it can be used to make deliveries. The unmanned vehicle is capable of operating autonomously on paved roadways. The vehicle has a control system for autonomous driving and a perception system for detecting objects in its surroundings. The vehicle also has one or more cargo compartments for carrying the delivery items. The vehicle may have a flashing light beacon to increase the conspicuousness of the vehicle. In consideration that the vehicle does not carry passengers, the size and/or motor power of the vehicle may be reduced as compared to conventional passenger vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20170343240
Abstract: A combination cooling and heating fan structure includes an electronic device for controlling a driving device to drive a fan blade assembly to rotate within a first rotational speed range and thereby cause cold convection when the driving device is started alone. The electronic device includes a limiting module for limiting the driving device to rotate within a second rotational speed range, which is smaller than the first rotational speed range, when the driving device and a heating device are started at the same time. That is, when the driving device and the heating device are started simultaneously, the limiting module limits the driving device to rotate within the second rotational speed range for the fan blade assembly to blow hot air through an indoor environment and cause heat convection, which increases the temperature of the indoor environment while preventing quick loss of thermal energy during the heat convection.

  • Patent number: 9121410
Abstract: An oscillating fan with built-in pull-type control switch includes a housing defining a receiving space having a front open end; a driving motor mounted to the front open end of the receiving space and having a first rotary shaft; a blade assembly mounted to the first rotary shaft; at least one pull switch having a selector mounted in the housing and an actuator extended through and located outside the housing; and a control box provided in the receiving space to electrically connect to the driving motor and every pull switch. The actuator includes a pull string having an end connected to the selector and another end hung from the housing by a predetermined length, allowing a user to control the oscillation of the fan via the pull string. Since most fan components are integrated in the housing, the fan occupies only reduced space and is more practical for use.

  • Publication number: 20140306636
Abstract: A fan control system includes a fan and a portable mobile device. The fan includes a housing member; a driving motor mounted in the housing member and having a rotary shaft; a fan blade assembly assembled to the rotary shaft of the driving motor; and a command receiving control unit mounted in the housing member and electrically connected to the driving motor. The portable mobile device includes a touch panel forming an operation control interface, and internally has a transmission unit and a processor electrically connected to the touch panel and the transmission unit. When the operation control interface is touched, the processor receives an operation control signal and correspondingly generates a control command that is wirelessly transmitted to the command receiving control unit in the fan via the transmission unit, so that the fan is directly controllable via the portable mobile device and has largely increased practicality and usability.
