  • Patent number: 10918326
Abstract: A computer-automated method is presented for segmenting image data for an organ of a subject, where the organ is a tubular structure. The method includes: receiving image data representing a volume of the subject, such that the image data includes the organ; generating a centerline through the organ; determining location of an outer wall of the tube within the image data, where the location of the inner wall is determined using the centerline; determining location of an outer wall of the tube within the image data, where the location of the outer wall is determined using the inner wall; and computing a measure of the organ from the image data.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 31, 2019
Date of Patent: February 16, 2021
Assignee: THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN
Inventors: Ryan W. Stidham, Binu Enchakalody, Mahmoud Al-Hawary, Ashish Wasnik, Stewart C. Wang

  • Publication number: 20160158179
Abstract: The present invention relates to therapeutic nanoemulsion compositions and to methods of utilizing the same. In particular, nanoemulsion compositions are described herein that find use in the treatment and/or prevention of infection (e.g., respiratory infection (e.g., associated with cystic fibrosis)), in burn wound management, and in immunogenic compositions (e.g., comprising a Burkholderia antigen) that generate an effective immune response (e.g., against a bacterial species of the genus Burkholderia) in a subject administered the immunogenic composition. Compositions and methods of the present invention find use in, among other things, clinical (e.g. therapeutic and preventative medicine), industrial, and research applications.
