The ink and coating compositions of the invention comprise equal to or greater than 65% (w/w) renewable resins, based on the total combined weight of the resins. Renewable resins derived from gum rosins are preferred. The ink and coating compositions of the present invention exhibit physical properties (e.g. adhesion and resistance) that are as good as, or better than, current commercially available inks (e.g. acrylic based inks not containing renewable material).
