  • Patent number: 11034100
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming a composite object. A first plurality of tows is laid up over a tool according to a first path. A second plurality of tows is laid up over the tool according to a second path. A first portion of the first plurality of tows runs non-parallel to a second portion of the second plurality of tows. First ends of the first portion of the first plurality of tows and second ends of the second portion of the second plurality of tows meet at a merge zone along the tool to form a ply of a composite laminate.

  • Patent number: 10974465
Abstract: A method and system for forming a composite laminate. A layup plan is generated for laying up a plurality of plies having a plurality of merge zones, each ply of the plurality of plies having a corresponding merge zone at which ends of a first plurality of tows for each ply and ends of a second plurality of tows for each ply meet. The locations of the plurality of merge zones are offset relative to each other through a thickness of the composite laminate. The plurality of plies is then laid up according to the layup plan to form a composite laminate.

  • Patent number: 10883894
Abstract: A technique facilitates monitoring and managing fatigue related a flexible conduit deployed from a surface vessel. Movements of the surface vessel may be measured to obtain vessel movement/position data. Based on this data, a flexible conduit bend profile may be determined via a computer-based data processing system. The flexible conduit bend profile may then be used to provide a flexible conduit fatigue profile for assessment of the flexible conduit in light of the environmental conditions. In some embodiments, the fatigue profile and assessment of the flexible conduit may be based on both functional loading and environmental loading.

  • Patent number: 10720011
Abstract: A system has a database that stores a plurality of pre-recorded video clips of real-world sports game events. Further, the system has a game engine processor that determines that a wager time period for a corresponding virtual sports game has completed. The game engine processor also determines an outcome of the virtual sports game subsequent to the determination that the wager time period has completed. Moreover, the game engine processor selects a pre-recoded clip from the plurality of pre-recorded clips that corresponds to the outcome. Finally, the game engine processor links the pre-recorded video clips as a base video layer to one or more overlay video layers. The wager time period is a period of time in which one or more user inputs are permitted to be received at a computing device that renders the virtual sports game.

The processor receives a participant user input corresponding to one of the plurality of selection indicia. Further, the processor randomly determines a plurality of events in a plurality of pre-recorded video clips. The processor also associates a game image with each of the plurality of pre-recorded video clips in the interactive menu such that a rendering device renders a corresponding pre-recorded video clip from the plurality of pre-recorded video clips based on game imagery user input. The graphical user interface comprises a plurality of selection indicia associated with less than a totality of potential virtual sport-based game participants. Further, the graphical user interface comprises an interactive menu of game imagery.
