  • Publication number: 20240180466
Abstract: A computing system receives a plurality of customized three-dimensional image-caption pairs generated by an administrator. Each customized three-dimensional image-caption pair may be assigned a plurality of traits to each of the plurality of customized three-dimensional image-caption pairs. For each customized three-dimensional image-caption pair, the computing system scores each trait of the plurality of traits. The computing system deploys a personality assessment. The personality assessment includes the plurality of customized three-dimensional image-caption pairs. For each customized three-dimensional image-caption pair, the computing system receives response data from a test-taker. The response data includes an indication of whether the test-taker relates to the customized three-dimensional image-caption pair. Based on the response data, the computing system categorizes the test-taker into a personality dimension or personality type.

  • Patent number: 11808936
Abstract: A method of rotating polarization of light travelling in a waveguide includes receiving an optical signal having a first polarization state at a first section of the waveguide, the first section of the waveguide being disposed on a plane of a substrate, using a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) device, angling a second section of the waveguide out of the plane of the substrate, and outputting the optical signal with a second polarization state, different from the first polarization state, on a third section of the waveguide, the third section of the waveguide also being disposed on the plane of the substrate. A control loop is provided to sense the polarization shift to control the angle of the MEMS device to compensate for that shift.

  • Patent number: 10139095
Abstract: Embodiments of a lamp that utilizes a reflector and a light source with light-emitting diode (LED) devices to generate an optical intensity distribution substantially similar to that of a conventional incandescent light bulb. These embodiments utilize an operation configuration with parameters that define relationships between components of the lamp to generate the optical intensity distribution. These parameters can, in one example, set out the position of the reflector relative to the light source as well as the ratio between dimensions of the reflector and the light source. In one embodiment, the reflector is in position relative to the light source to form a blocking area proximate the light source that defines a part of the lamp that does not diffuse light.

  • Patent number: 9820937
Abstract: The invention described herein provides a fast dispersing oral solid dosage form containing monoamine oxidase B inhibitor (MAO-B inhibitor) as the active ingredient, and method of treating disease therewith, such as Parkinson's disease. In one embodiment, the monoamine oxidase B inhibitor selegiline or its analog can be the sole active ingredient in the composition administered. The dosage form composition is formulated to promote absorption through the buccal, sublingual, pharyngeal and/or esophageal mucous membrane tissue, such that at least 5% of the active ingredient is absorbed within one minute of placement in the oral cavity, as determined by a buccal absorption test. Monoamine oxidase B inhibitor compounds administered in accordance with the invention decrease the amount of undesirable metabolites associated with first pass effect of selegiline, for example, such as amphetamine and methamphetamine.
