  • Patent number: 4346900
Abstract: A game which may be played by two or more persons includes a playing board and a pair of dice. The board comprises three concentric play areas, the outer two of which are divided into arcuate sections. The central play area designates a type of dice which is to be used with the particular game board. The various play areas are provided with indicia to indicate an appropriate payoff rate to be associated with that area. A number of variations of the game board are possible, each of which is to be played with particularly shaped dice.

  • Patent number: 4240858
Abstract: A hexaflexagon or an interchangeable face device is made by first printing a desired pattern on both sides of a sheet of card stock. The printed sheet is then die cut to form a series of parallel rows of zigzag slots. The slotted sheet is then laminated on both sides with a clear, flexible sheet material such as mylar forming a sandwich. The sandwich is then cut to form rows of alternating triangles. A triangle row is then folded and the two end triangles of the row adhered together to form the hexaflexagon.

  • Patent number: 4200298
Abstract: A game board comprises a plurality of adjacent irregularly shaped playing areas, each area having sides in common with at least three other areas. Each of two players, in alternate turns, places chips into areas which are unoccupied and which do not have a common side with an area which is already occupied by a chip belonging to the player then placing a new chip. When it is no longer possible for a player to place a chip according to the above rules, that player places his chip into an area which does have at least one side in common with an area which also contains his chip. After so placing a chip, the player removes his chips from all those areas which have a side in common with that area into which his chip has just been placed. The first player to have only one chip left on the board wins the game.

  • Patent number: 4171807
Abstract: A playing surface for a billiard type of game comprises three straight ball rebound sides and one parabolic ball rebound side extending upwardly, inwardly and around the periphery of the playing surface. The playing surface and all sides have a nap or felt covering. A number of fixed obstacles on the surface are located at strategic locations to compound playing difficulty. Counting discs are threaded to rails outside of the playing surface, attached to the rebound sides and are used to keep score.

  • Patent number: 4135331
Abstract: A seedling sprouter comprises a base which supports a screen therein and a complimentary cover. The cover and base lock together by means which allow the cover to be spaced from the base when the sprouter is being drained. A closure on the cover is rotatable to three positions in which water may be added to the sprouter, water may be drained from the sprouter without the loss of the sprouted seeds therein, or the sprouter may be sealed.

  • Patent number: 4118889
Abstract: A transparent seedling container has disposed therein a dry mass of material which is capable of absorbing water and a sproutable seed. Water is added to the mass and the germination of the seed is visible through the container walls. Means are provided for the suspension of the container which may be worn as an article of jewelry.

  • Patent number: 3971156
Abstract: An improved interchangeable-face device comprising two rows of alternately disposed equilateral triangles, spaced apart from one another and joined by link members bridging the interspaces, bonded to opposing surfaces of a pliant intermediate binder element, whereby the triangles and their interspaces are in registry, with the exposed portions of the binder element forming hinges for adjoining triangles. The triangle faces are provided with corresponding representations and the triangles are schematically overlaid upon one another, with the end triangles bonded together, to form a polygon, the latter adapted to be flexed for progressive exposure of groups of triangle faces, each group defining a different composite representation.
