Abstract: An ink supply to a movable printing head in which the liquid reservoir follows the printing head in its movement along a recording medium and communicates with the liquid pumping chambers by means of at least one channel located in the printing head. In one embodiment, a filter is located in the flow path of the liquid reservoir to the pump chambers while in another embodiment the filter is disposed within the reservoir.

Abstract: A printing head for an ink jet printer having a plate-shaped part with opposite large surfaces provided with spaced grooves which, when assembled, form pressure chamber channels. The plate-shaped part has a recess in a side thereof whereby a second plate is inserted in the recessed position having channels which are aligned with and correspond to the pressure chamber channels of the first plate. The channels in the second plate continuously taper toward the outlet thereof to form fine capillary tubes, the latter being connected alternately to channels in one large surface and the other large surface of the first plate. The sealing of the plates is on one surface only.

Abstract: A printing head for an ink jet printer in which a multiplicity of channels are formed, preferably in one plate of the head. Each of the channels communicates with a capillary tube that opens into a boundary surface of the plate. The arrangement of the channels is such that the head can be of a smaller size than other constructions, and the openings of the capillary tubes can be located closer to one another.

The arrangement has at least two opposite plates in which one plate is provided with pumping means disposed in holes, while the other plate has grooves at the surface thereof facing said one plate. The arrangement is inexpensive to manufacture and simple to assemble, yet functions in a reliable manner.

The device is arranged to follow the movements of the printing head along an adjacent recording medium. A liquid filling member is adapted to transfer the liquid from the storing device to the supply device.

Abstract: A printing head for an ink jet printer in which a liquid reservoir is operatively associated therewith. The liquid reservoir is provided with an air inlet opening having a filter which permits the passage of air but prevents liquid flow thereby preventing the leakage of liquid out of the reservoir upon the agitation of the liquid within the reservoir.
