    Abstract: A urine drainage device which provides reliable and effective bladder training is disclosed for use with a catheter connectable to the bladder and communicating with a collection bag. The device comprises a valve for controlling the connection between the catheter and the collection bag. The valve includes a normally closed inlet which is opened when a predetermined bladder fluid pressure is reached. A pressure substantially below the opening pressure of the valve is capable of maintaining the inlet in an open condition.
