Abstract: A utility lamp having a handle containing a receptacle outlet and an electrical cord at its bottom end. A bulb cage is affixed to the handle to protectively enclose a bulb inserted into a bulb receptacle. The bulb cage includes a triangular shaped reflector having a plurality of back light slits. A hook is swively mounted to an elongate tube, which is affixed to the reflector. A plurality of spring biased gripping fingers are mounted within the tube and are extendable without the upper end of the tube to facilitate hanging the utility lamp on a projecting means such as a screw.
