  • Patent number: 4745862
Abstract: A holder is disclosed for a mine fuze for an antitank mine, in which the mine fuze incorporates a booster charge, a detonator for initiating the booster charge, and a spring-biased firing pin for initiating firing of the detonator. The holder is dimensioned to fit into a mine-fuze location provided in the antitank mine, where the booster charge is in fuzed relationship with the explosive charge contained by the mine. The holder is also provided with connectors for initiators for initiating one or more explosive charges located in the ground, the booster charge being in fuzed relationship with the initiators when the holder and mine fuze are attached.

  • Patent number: 4722277
Abstract: A safety means for an ordnance fuze. The arrangement includes an arming rotor (1) which is held in a safe position (A) by means of a half-shaft (6) which in the safe position of the rotor engages a first recess (7) located in the rotor. A clock mechanism (9) is provided so as to rotate the half-shaft (6) about its axis to a rotational position in which it no longer engages the rotor (1), thereby enabling the rotor to be rotated to its armed position. The rotor has provided therein a second recess (11) into which the half-shaft (6) is able to rotate should it be rotated at an excessively high speed, thereby returning the rotor to its safe position.

  • Patent number: 4711179
Abstract: An arrangement in a mine which is capable of being neutralized, comprising detecting means (33) operative to detect a neutralization of the mine, and initiator means (3) adapted to initiate detonation of a spotter charge (5) incorporated in the mine in response to the detection of a neutralization, and a spotter (1) which is arranged to be propelled from the mine by said detonator charge to the surface of the ground, in order to disclose the location of the mine. A penetrator (4), which is intended to drive a pathway through the ground to facilitate passage of the spotter (1), is arranged forwardly of the spotter in the mine, as seen in its direction of travel. The spotter (1) is capable of forwardly driving the penetrator (4) during a first phase of the spotter firing sequence; and the arrangement further includes a separating device (9) which is intended to separate the spotter from the penetrator during a second phase of the firing sequence.
