  • Patent number: 5176413
Abstract: The present invention relates to a union device for pipe joints, where the joint is within the wall thickness of the pipes being joined, and includes a female part (1) and a male part (2), which in substantially complemental implementation permits the male part (2) to be inserted into the female part (1). In the outer and inner peripheral surfaces of the male and female parts there are grooves (5,11) extending around the periphery such as to form a cavity for a locking ring when the joint has been assembled. In this cavity there is a locking ring having a rhomboid form in cross section with cut away portions at the long sides of the two diametrically opposite acute corners and being of a material which retains its shape with a given resiliency. This locking ring is provided with a through slit or with one or more shorter slits from its large end towards its small end.

  • Patent number: 5056269
Abstract: An apparatus (1) for work inside piping comprising an elongate clamping and/or moving unit (2) with a working attachment (8) at one end. The unit (2) is provided with two arrays of radially projectable feet (6, 7), suitably at either end thereof. The working attachment (8) includes radially projectable elements (22), all of which are adapted for being displaced to the same extent, and one array of feet (6) placed at the end of the unit (2) opposite the working attachment being adapted such that its feet are thrust out to the same extent. The unit (2) suitably comprises two parts (4, 5) which are mutually, reciprocally movable, there being an array of feet (6, 7) arranged in each part (4, 5).

  • Patent number: 4687026
Abstract: Equipment for closing conduits comprising a closing lid (1) having two circular disks with a peripheral sealing ring of resilient material. A tightening device connect the two disks at the center thereof causing during tightening to compress the sealing ring radially outwardly. The tightening device is of very stable construction conferring to the disks a parallel movement without mutual rotation. The equipment moreover comprises a mounting device (30) having three parts which are mobile in relation to each other, an attachment yoke (31), a main clamp (39) and a support plate (43). With the aid of a cog gear (40) and racks (42, 44) rotary movements are transformed into either a clamping movement between the closing lid (1) and the support plate (43) or a pulling movement between the closing lid (1) and the main clamp (39).

  • Patent number: 4647072
Abstract: The present invention relates to a repair sleeve comprising a flexible, hose-like main part (1) and a spiral spring (2), which, when the sleeve is mounted in a pipe line, pretensions the hose-like main part (1) into sealing engagement against the inner wall of the surrounding pipe. The invention also includes an insertion device (4) for the repair sleeve, said device being a cylindrical body (5) mounted on wheels. At the ends of this body (5) there are latching means (7, 8) which are releasably fastenable to the ends of the spring (2). The latching means comprise a pin (7) biased to thrust out through the wall of the body (5) and into holes at the ends of the spring (2) wound round the body (5). Both pins (7) are simultaneously releasable with the aid of a linkage system (11, 13, 14, 15) on actuating the system. Eyes or cages (8) accommodating the ends of the springs are also associated with the pins (7).
