  • Patent number: 11464495
Abstract: For clutter reduction in ultrasound elasticity imaging, the contribution of clutter to different frequency components (e.g., the transmit fundamental and the propagation generated second harmonic) is different. As a result, a difference in displacements determined at the different frequency bands is used to reduce clutter contribution to displacements used for elasticity imaging.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 13, 2018
Date of Patent: October 11, 2022
Assignee: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc.
Inventors: Stephen J. Rosenzweig, Stirling Dodd

  • Publication number: 20160310110
Abstract: For mixed mode imaging, the ultrasound scanner distinguishes between times when different modes of imaging are appropriate based on motion or transducer usage. Any switching between modes, such as between B-mode and mixed mode imaging, occurs automatically based on the detection by the ultrasound scanner of motion, alleviating the need for sonographer manual selection.
