Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for predicting a travel range of a vehicle. The method comprises receiving, using at least one processor, travel information associated with the vehicle, receiving, using the at least one processor, a weather forecast and a traffic forecast associated with the travel information, and predicting, using the at least one processor, the predicted travel range based at least in part on a battery charge level of the vehicle, the weather forecast, and the traffic forecast. In embodiments, the predicted travel range may be based on current and historical battery charge levels, current and/or historical battery discharge rates, weather forecast data, and traffic forecast data.

Abstract: A system for uniquely identifying a medication unit such as a pill, a tablet, or a capsule includes a unique identifier located directly on the medication unit that distinguishes the medication unit from any medication unit. The system further includes a database that is hosted on a server device, the database being searchable to identify the medication unit and including the unique identifier and other information associated with the medication unit. The system further includes a scanner that scans the unique identifier to provide the unique identifier o a user device that communicates with the server device via a network to identify the medication unit.

Abstract: A network apparatus for redirecting a network packet, comprises a network interface for receiving the network packet; and an interceptor for receiving the network packet from the network interface, evaluating which port is being used for the network packet, replacing a destination IP address of said network packet with a further destination IP address if the port is one or more predetermined ports, and allowing the network packet to exit the network apparatus with the port unchanged if the port is not one of the one or more predetermined ports.

Abstract: A network device comprises an IP address identifier that identifies an IP address of a further network device that is coupled to the network device; and a requester for transmitting a request to receive a response from a network coupled to the network device, wherein the request uses the IP address of the further network device identified by the IP address identifier to identify the network device as a destination of the response to the request.

Abstract: A firewall for selectively allowing or blocking traffic between a first network interface and a second network interface. A packet classifier evaluates the traffic between the first network interface and the second network interface and allows or blocks the traffic based on content of classifier data accessible by the packet classifier. An IP address identifier identifies an IP address of the second network interface. A classifier data updater initiates a request for the classifier data to be updated, and receives an update to the classifier data responsive thereto, wherein the request is transmitted from the updater to the first network interface, the update is received from the first network interface, and the request identifies the firewall as destination of the update with the IP address of the second network interface identified by the IP address identifier.

Abstract: An extendible tool holder having one end adapted for attachment to the shank of a drill bit and the other end adapted for attachment to a spindle. The tool holder includes an elongate shaft portion having a hexagonal cross-section slideably disposed within a sleeve portion. Each face of the shaft portion has a plurality of ball detent rests in the for of circular indentations therein. The distance of the detent rests from the end of the shaft are different from one another on adjacent faces of the shaft. Staggering the detent rest spacing by deploying the detent rests on adjacent faces of the shaft enables adjustable extension of the tool holder without sacrificing structural integrity. A hollow cylindrical sleeve having ball detents therewithin and a spring-loaded ball detent releasing collet thereupon slides telescopically over the shaft.
