  • Publication number: 20250003796
Abstract: A multiple optical frequency monitoring assembly includes a first light source configured to generate a first light beam; a second light source configured to generate a second light beam; combiner optics configured to combine the first light beam and the second light beam into a combined light beam; a beam splitter configured to split the combined light beam into a monitored light beam and a reference light beam; an interferometer configured to receive the monitored light beam and output the monitored light beam as a monitored output light beam according to a resonant frequency response; filter optics configured to separate the monitored output light beam into two output beams; a detector configured to measure the two output beams; and a controller configured to tune the first light source and the second light source based on the two measured output beams and the reference light beam.

  • Publication number: 20240291571
Abstract: An optical receiver includes an integrated receiver chip includes a data port configured to receive an optical data signal derived from a receive optical signal, a first waveguide coupled to the data port and configured to transmit the optical data signal from the data port to an optical waveguide circuit of the integrated receiver chip, a power monitoring port configured to receive an optical monitoring signal derived from the receive optical signal, and a second waveguide coupled to the power monitoring port and configured to transmit the optical monitoring signal to a monitor photodiode that is monolithically integrated in the integrated receiver chip. The monitor photodiode is configured to convert the optical monitoring signal into an electrical signal representative of an optical input power of the receive optical signal.

  • Publication number: 20240280756
Abstract: In some implementations, an optical assembly includes a first etalon, a second etalon, and an optical element disposed between the first etalon and the second etalon. The first etalon is configured to transmit a collimated light beam from an input surface of the first etalon to an output surface of the first etalon, and to allow the collimated light beam to propagate from an output surface of the first etalon to the optical element. The optical element is configured to receive the collimated light beam, to change the collimated light beam to a de-collimated light beam, and to allow the de-collimated light beam to propagate from the optical element to an input surface of the second etalon. The second etalon is configured to transmit the de-collimated light beam from the input surface of the second etalon to an output surface of the second etalon.

  • Patent number: 11460347
Abstract: An optical locker may include an assembly. The assembly may include a beam splitter, configured to split an input beam into at least three beams; an etalon having at least three regions, positioned so that each beam passes through a different region; a detector configured to measure output intensities, Tn, of the etalon for the beam; and a controller configured to determine a ratio, Ta/Tb, of the output intensities, wherein that ratio has a slope at the output intensities which is above a threshold, obtain a target frequency of the input beam, and determine an actual frequency of the input beam based on the target frequency and the ratio of the output intensities.
