Patent number: 7811100Abstract: A connector interface may include an arrangement of contacts in a first connector, and a corresponding, complementary arrangement of contacts in a second connector mating with the contacts of the first connector. The contacts may be signal contacts or ground contacts. When the connectors are mated, a ground may be established between the connectors by the mating of the ground contacts from the respective connectors. The ground contacts in the first connector may be shaped to bridge together an array of ground contacts in the second connector when the connectors are mated. Such bridging tends to establish a continuous ground along the array of ground contacts, creating a more robust ground than in an otherwise identical connector.Type: GrantFiled: May 29, 2008Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignee: FCI Americas Technology, Inc.Inventor: Stuart Craig Stoner

Patent number: 7255314Abstract: Various types of extendable support structures provide a lateral dimension that is defined by at least one lazy tong, and the longitudinal dimension is variable by extension and retraction of the at least one lazy tong. The extendable structure may include a plurality of adjacent and attached lazy tongs that are capable of supporting a significant load through the interconnection of the adjacent lazy tongs forming the structure. The extendable structure may be fully retracted to minimize the longitudinal dimension and thereby provide a compact structure, such as one that can be easily transported or stored. The extendable structure may be extended to a length as required for a particular purpose and limited to a maximum longitudinal dimension when the structure is being used to support a load. As such the various types of extendable support structures may be used in many scenarios, such as for providing a loading ramp, bridge, walkway, or working surface.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2005Date of Patent: August 14, 2007Inventors: Stuart Craig Hanson, Frederik D. Patent number: 5362502Abstract: Low moisture content comestibles having reduced water regain or increased tolerance to moisture are produced by enzymatically treating a farinaceous material with an enzyme composition comprising pentosanase or beta-glucanase, or mixtures thereof to reduce its net-work forming swellable water-soluble hemicellulose content. The hydrolysis of the water-soluble pentosans, beta-glucans or mixtures thereof is conducted so that a substantial portion of the hydrolysis product has a linear or backbone degree of polymerization of less than about 100, more suitably less than about 75, preferably less than about 50, most preferably less than 17. In addition, the hydrolysis is conducted so as to minimize the production of mono and/or di-saccharides. The low moisture content comestible products include low moisture content baked good such as cookies, crackers, and biscuits, farinaceous pet snacks, plant protein extracts, hot cereals, ready-to-eat cereals, low calorie flours and low calorie flour fractions.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1993Date of Patent: November 8, 1994Assignee: Nabisco, Inc.Inventors: Louise Slade, Harry Levine, Stuart Craig, Henry Arciszewski

Patent number: 5007320Abstract: A compass for sweeping an arc of a circle on a sheet of material comprises an annular base having a lower surface engageable with the material. A support member is rotatably supported on the base and a toolholder is mounted on the support member. The toolholder is moveable with the support and upon rotation of the support relative to the base, sweeps an arc of a circle. The toolholder has a toolpost to support a tool and permit movement of the tool relative to the support member in a direction generally normal to the sheet of material to facilitate movement of a tool mounted in the holder into and out of engagement with the sheet of material.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 1989Date of Patent: April 16, 1991Assignee: Inventive Ideas IncorporatedInventors: Stuart Craig, Earl Helland
