    Abstract: A solar energy receiving surface comprises a flat base plate of aluminum to which are affixed aluminum absorbers that are semi-elliptical or oval in shape connected to form a honeycomb-like pattern. The configuration of the absorber produce maximum solar yield per day and season by acting as a normal plane to the sun throughout the solar day and by scattering the sun's rays inbound to the absorber and base plate.
