Abstract: A document collaboration process is centered around a digital media object that is the subject of the collaboration, and makes the role of the server computer that is hosting the collaboration session more transparent to the user. As a result, a user can initiate a collaboration session without logging into the server computer and uploading the digital media object into the server computer. A user can also join a collaboration session without logging into the server computer. The process for initiating a collaboration session may be performed directly from the browser while viewing a web page, directly from an e-mail interface while viewing an e-mail, directly from an Instant Messaging Interface while participating in an IM session or directly from a file browser while viewing a list of files stored in the user computer.

Abstract: A method for privacy management includes providing a linked collection of interactive resources through which a user is able to exchange information with an enterprise that provides the resources, and assigning respective, non-uniform privacy policies to at least some of the resources regarding use of the information that is exchanged through the resources. The user, accessing a given one of the resources, is provided with the respective privacy policy for that resource. At least a portion of the information that is associated with the given one of the resources is exchanged with the user subject to the provided privacy policy.

Abstract: The invention is a spaced based navigation system for guiding a spacecraft. In detail, the navigation system includes at least two Doppler range/range rate satellites positioned at LaGrangian stability points between first and second planetary bodies wherein the first planetary body rotates about the second planetary body. A processing system mounted on the spacecraft for receiving Doppler range and range rate data from said at least two Doppler range/range rate satellites and calculating the position and velocity of the spacecraft.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for extending the main memory of computer systems across network boundaries is provided. A memory server is allocated on a network server, or a separate machine connected to a network to enable client computers on the network to extend their main memory on demand for user applications. Through the utilization of the memory server, the client workstations can execute programs requiring more memory than is resident on the client without decreasing the efficiency of the network server.
