  • Patent number: 11803175
Abstract: An industrial information hub (IIH) serves as a single industrial ecosystem platform where multiple participants can deliver repeatable and standardized services relevant to their core competencies. The IIH system can interface with a work order management system to facilitate automated creation and submission of work orders for maintenance tasks. To this end, the IIH system can monitor real-time data from industrial devices and identify conditions indicative of a performance issue requiring a maintenance action. When such a condition is identified, the IIH system can initiate creation of a work order in the work order management system for tracking and recording of the maintenance task.

  • Publication number: 20100276450
Abstract: A process for forming a pouch having an evacuated headspace containing a flowable material is disclosed. The process includes the steps of: providing a continuous tube of flexible and sealable film; supplying the continuous tube with a predetermined amount of flowable material; pinching the continuous tube above a sealing region so as to form a pinched portion of the continuous tube; evacuating the headspace between the pinched portion and the predetermined amount of flowable material; and sealing the continuous tube at the sealing region to form a top seal of a previously formed pouch containing flowable material and a bottom seal of a next-to-be filled pouch. Also disclosed is a vertical form-fill-seal apparatus for forming a pouch containing a flowable material and having an evacuated headspace.

  • Publication number: 20080008403
Abstract: A process for making an aseptic sealed product-filled package in disclosed. The process includes the steps of: providing a bag having a preformed filling fitment; filling the bag with product through the filling fitment; and sealing the bag below the filling fitment. The process can further include the step of cutting off at least a portion of the bag above the seal to remove the filling fitment. Also provided is a bag for forming an aseptic product-filled package. The bag includes a pair of corresponding walls of flexible, sealable material, which are sealed about a common periphery to form an internal volume having a product portion and a fitment portion. The product portion and the fitment portion are fluidly connected. The bag further includes a filling fitment attached to at least one of the walls near the common periphery. The package is formable by aseptically sealing at least a part of the fitment portion with the fitment so as to isolate the fitment from the remainder of the bag.
