  • Patent number: 11959429
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to improvements in turbocharger efficiency and more particularly to a method and system for estimating the efficiency loss of a turbocharger. The method comprises the steps of monitoring a plurality of operating parameters and determining a compressor exit temperature according to a first calibration map based on these operating parameters. An estimate of instantaneous turbocharger efficiency loss according to a second calibration map is then determined, based on the compressor exit temperature. The instantaneous turbocharger efficiency loss is used to determine an estimate of cumulative turbocharger efficiency loss during engine service. The estimate of cumulative turbocharger efficiency loss is compared with a first predetermined efficiency loss threshold and a first signal is generated if the first predetermined efficiency loss threshold is exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20240116385
Abstract: Systems and methods for managing the allocation of incoming charge power between an on-board power supply power output and HV battery power input. An electric vehicle (EV) may be used to provide power to one or more electrical devices connected to an on-board power supply of the EV. When the EV is connected to a charging device, a rate of charge may be determined. An allocation of the incoming charge power from the charging device may be determined as between a high voltage (HV) battery of the electric vehicle and the on-board power supply of the electric vehicle. Power may be simultaneously provided to the HV battery and the on-board power supply.

  • Patent number: 11921292
Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for eyebox expansion in wearable heads-up displays (“WHUDs”) are described. The WHUDs described herein each include a projector and an optical waveguide positioned in an optical path between the projector and an eye of the user. For any given light signal from the projector, the optical waveguide receives the light signal at an input coupler and outputs multiple instances or copies of the light signal from multiple discrete, spatially-separated output couplers. The multiple instances or copies of the light signal may be converged by the optical waveguide directly to respective exit pupils at the user's eye or may be routed by the optical waveguide to a holographic combiner in the user's field of view from which the light signals may be converged to respective exit pupils at the user's eye. The optical waveguide employs exit pupil replication to expand the eyebox of the WHUD.

  • Patent number: 11922689
Abstract: A process of augmenting images of incident scenes with object descriptions retrieved from an audio stream. In operation, an electronic computing device detects an object of interest in an image captured corresponding to an incident scene and identifies an audio stream linked to an incident identifier of an incident that occurred at the incident scene. The electronic computing device then determines whether the audio stream contains an audio description of the detected object of interest. When it is determined that the audio stream contains the audio description of the detected object of interest, the electronic computing device generates a visual or audio prompt corresponding to the audio description of the detected object of interest and plays back the visual or audio prompt via a corresponding display or audio-output component communicatively coupled to the electronic computing device.
