  • Publication number: 20160288816
Abstract: A steering assembly including an input shaft having a bore along an axial end; an output shaft having a bore along an axial end; a torque bar extending into and operatively coupled to the bores of the input and output shafts; and a bearing assembly disposed between the torque bar and one of the input and output shafts, the bearing assembly including: a low friction layer; and a tolerance ring coupled to the low friction layer and extending radially therefrom.

  • Patent number: 9222521
Abstract: A torque limiting tolerance ring that is configured to be installed between an inner component and an outer component is disclosed. The torque limiting tolerance ring can include a generally cylindrical body that can have a sidewall. The sidewall can include an unformed section and a plurality of projections can extend from the unformed section of the sidewall. The projections can be configured to engage the inner component or the outer component. During use, the torque limiting tolerance ring can move from an engaged configuration, in which the inner component is statically coupled to the outer component, to a disengaged configuration, in which the inner component is disengaged from the outer component.

  • Patent number: 9153007
Abstract: Imaging systems may be provided with image sensors for capturing images. An image sensor may include storage and processing circuitry having a conformal image buffer to be used in performing various types of image transformations on captured input images. The storage and processing circuitry may perform the image transformations, in part, by storing a portion of a captured input image in the conformal image buffer. A conformal image buffer may include a buffer for storing input image pixel values specific to various types of image transformations and memory for storing a pixel buffer lookup table. The pixel buffer lookup table may be used by the storage and processing circuitry to determine which input image pixel values should be stored in the conformal image buffer for each type of image transformation and to provide random read access to the stored input image pixel values in the conformal image buffer.

  • Patent number: 8548274
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating efficient transformed input image address sets for producing a multi-pane output image from an input image are disclosed. The input address sets may be generated by applying a first transformation corresponding to one pane of the output image to output pixel addresses to create first transformed input addresses, applying a second transformation corresponding to another pane to the output image pixel addresses to create second transformed input addresses, and storing, for one output pixel address, a first transformed image pixel address and a second transformed input pixel address and, for another output pixel address, including a first transformed input pixel address, but no second transformed address.

  • Patent number: 6101573
Abstract: A cache memory 18 is formed of a content addressable memory 20 and a cache RAM 22. The content addressable memory 20 is divided into two or more sections by an AND gate array 28 that serves to selectively either block or unblock the bit lines 26 that supply an input data word to the bit storage and comparison cells 34 of the content addressable memory 20. The generation of match signals for each section is also selectively blocked by preventing the match signal discharge to ground. The match signals from a blocked section are not passed to the RAM 22. The AND gate array 28 and match signal disable may be controlled by the least significant bit of the input data word, higher order bits of the input data word or may be controlled by a bit selected by program control from among the bits of the input data word.
