  • Patent number: 8698798
Abstract: A system and method for visualizing images in a three-dimensional context. The method involves receiving user input specifying a polyline in a given cartographic reference system. The polyline is displayed in a 2D window. A set of geometry data is generated based on the polyline and a user-specified vertical range. The geometry data set represents a folded object in three-dimensional space, where the folded object has one fold for each knee point in the polyline. A 3D virtual world is rendered to obtain a rendered image. The rendering action includes rendering the geometry data set using a given image as texture. The rendered image is displayed in a 3D window, where the displayed rendered image visually represents the given image as being painted onto the folded object in the three-dimensional space.

  • Patent number: 7874578
Abstract: Apparatus for stabilizing the deployment of an airbag includes an airbag housing in which a folded up airbag is housed. The housing has an open side through which the airbag is deployed and a door is pivoted to the housing and is pivoted open by the deploying airbag. An extension panel is mounted on the door by a track mechanism so that the extension panel is movable between a normal retracted position along side the door and an extended position in which the extension panel extends beyond the door. An extension mechanism for causes the extension panel to be moved to the extended position when the airbag is deploying so that the door and the extension panel direct and stabilize the deploying airbag.

  • Patent number: 4014373
Abstract: A unitized system for removing and comminuting entire standing trees including a vehicle positioned to sever standing trees in place, transporting the severed tree in an upright condition on the severing blade to a conveyer and lifting and conveying the upright tree to a comminuter hopper on the rear of the vehicle for reduction to wood chips.
