  • Patent number: 11026722
Abstract: A clamp assembly for orthopedic use having a housing that includes a top surface, a recess, a distal base and a bottom surface, the recess defining a longitudinal axis and extending through the housing from the top surface through the distal base and toward the bottom surface, and at least two through slots, each one of being disposed at a bottom or a side a surface of the housing. The assembly including a securement assembly positionable within the recess in a co-axial relationship to a mating surface on the recess, and a band sized for travel along a predetermined path defined in part by the through slots in the housing, wherein at least one of the through slots is a starting point for travel of the band along the predetermined path.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 26, 2017
Date of Patent: June 8, 2021
    Assignee: OrthoPediatrics Corp.

  • Patent number: 10595904
Abstract: A band clamp tensioning system that includes a tensioning instrument that has a hollow body with proximal and distal ends that define a longitudinal axis, and a travel slot, a tension tightening rod disposed co-axially within the hollow body, and a carriage assembly for receiving and tensioning a band, the carriage assembly disposed co-axially within the hollow body and having a center aperture through which the tension tightening rod is inserted, and a carriage that includes at least one channel for inserting a band, and a band securing mechanism. In use the carriage moves axially between proximal and distal ends within the slot along the exterior surface of the hollow body when the tightening rod is manipulated. The system also includes a clamp housing and a band that can be tensioned around bone with the tensioning instrument and secured to the clamp housing with a locking element.

  • Patent number: 9770268
Abstract: A clamp housing assembly and method for providing stabilization as a bone anchor during an operation. The assembly includes a housing, a locking element and a band. The housing defines a longitudinal axis, a center recess, and at least one slot. The housing has two opposing arms extending from a base. At least a portion of the inside surface of each arm may be threaded and at least a portion of the outside surface of each arm may be planar. The locking element is positionable within the recess in a co-axial relationship to the housing. The band is sized for travel along a predetermined path defined in part by the at least one slot in the housing.

  • Patent number: 9700356
Abstract: A sacroiliac joint fusion system including a joint implant, anchor element and delivery tool. The joint implant includes a bore extending non-parallel to the implant longitudinal axis. The anchor element is for receiving in the bore. The delivery tool includes an implant arm and anchor arm. The implant arm distal end is releasably coupled to the joint implant proximal end so the implant arm longitudinal axis is coaxial or parallel with the implant body longitudinal axis. An anchor arm distal end is engaged to the anchor element proximal end. The anchor arm is coupled to the implant arm such that the anchor element longitudinal axis is coaxially aligned with the bore longitudinal axis when the implant arm distal end is releasably coupled with the implant proximal end and the anchor arm distal end is engaged with the anchor element proximal end.
