    Abstract: A microphone positioning system includes a microphone, a selectively operable turntable device to which the microphone is mounted, and a remote control device for selectively imparting rotation to the turntable device to selectively vary the angle of the microphone. The elevation of the microphone can also be varied, such as by means of an extendable and retractable support. The turntable device may be interconnected with an axially extending rail and is movable to varying positions along the rail such as by means of a carrier. A drive arrangement is interconnected between the rail and the carrier for moving the carrier along the length of the rail, and the drive arrangement is operable in response to the remote control device.
