  • Patent number: 7176807
Abstract: Methods and systems of enforcing a demand reset in a meter that communicates via a wireless network. When billing data is received by a server, it is accompanied by a demand reset counter. The counter is compared to a counter stored on the server. If they received counter is less than the server counter, it is determined that the meter missed a demand reset. The server then instructs the meter to perform a billing read and to perform a demand reset to ensure that accurate demand data is received by the server.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 24, 2004
Date of Patent: February 13, 2007
    Assignee: Elster Electricity, LLC
Inventors: Sean M. Scoggins, Stuart Mills, Robert T. Mason, Andrew J. Borleske, Kathryn J. Smith, Dileep Rudran

  • Publication number: 20050107435
Abstract: Compounds of the formula (I), or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt, or an in-vivo-hydrolysable ester thereof, and compounds as shown in (I) wherein C is for example wherein A and B are independently selected from R2a to R3b are independently selected from hydrogen and fluorine; R1a and R1b are independently selected from, for example, hydroxy, —NHC(?W)R4, wherein W is O or S; R4 is, for example, hydrogen, amino, (1-4C)alkyl; HET-1 is, for example, a C-linked 5-membered heteroaryl ring; HET-2 is, for example, an N-linked 5-membered, fully or partially unsaturated heterocyclic ring; are useful as antibacterial agents; and processes for their manufacture and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are described.

  • Patent number: 6080994
Abstract: An optical correlator system having a plurality of both active and passive reflective optical components between a source of electromagnetic radiation, such a visible coherent light, and an output detector array in a planar support body along a folded optical axis beam path within the body uses a ferro-electric liquid crystal spatial light modulator as the input sensor and the correlating filter to provide enhanced optical detection of an unknown object at a CCD detector array.
