  • Publication number: 20050180400
Abstract: A method and system for establishing a videoconference between a first network endpoint and a second network endpoint. The method and system including, inputting a plurality of numbers into the first network endpoint, wherein, the first network endpoint is an IP based network endpoint, the plurality of numbers are in a standard telephone format, and the plurality of numbers are associated with the second network endpoint.

  • Publication number: 20050105711
Abstract: The present invention relates to systems and methods for providing live operator service for a communication session over a packet-based network. The live operator of the invention can receive a call and conference with the caller to determine an intended call recipient. The live operator can then initiate a call to the intended call recipient. If the intended call recipient is available, the operator can connect the caller to the intended call recipient and disconnect itself from the call.

  • Publication number: 20020099798
Abstract: A file transfer method is disclosed in which in which a client (100) requests a file from a server (110) and the server (110) sends to the client (100) one or more data segments which data segments together constitute content of the requested file and additional content provided by a service provider. A benefit that may be provided by at least preferred embodiments is that a provider of download files, and in particular audio files, may add additional material such as advertising material to the download content. Targeting of the material to a particular user might be achieved by asking the user to provide information about their interests, and selecting for inclusion those advertisements that most closely accord with the user's a preferences. To reduce storage requirements, the server may store a virtual file reference for each user and construct a customised file dynamically.

  • Patent number: 5423301
Abstract: An infinitely variable hydromechanical timing valve, for a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine, is provided with a housing having a valve seat therein, and a timing control plunger mounted for reciprocation within the housing toward and away from the valve seat. A first side of the timing control plunger is acted upon by a pressure which varies as a function of engine load while a second side of the timing control plunger is acted upon by a pressure which varies as a function of engine speed. Furthermore, the timing control plunger has an orificed flow passage therethrough, one end of which is in communication with a timing flow of fuel from the pump and an opposite end of which timing flow passage communicates with a timing fluid supply rail.

  • Patent number: 4092970
Abstract: A device for controlling maximum speed and/or acceleration of a diesel engine by means of a spring-loaded valve located upstream on the air inlet manifold. The valve, which normally is open, operates on a pressure differential basis and is designed to close when maximum speed is exceeded. By sending the air flow rate to the engine, the air flow can be shut off when it exceeds a rate corresponding to an excessive engine speed.
