  • Publication number: 20240139726
Abstract: According to the disclosure, a target analyte detection cartridge includes a sample chamber into which sample is inserted, a metering chamber connected to the sample chamber to meter a predetermined amount of sample, a mixing chamber connected to the metering chamber to receive a magnet bead, and a waste chamber connected to the metering chamber. The metering chamber has one side connected to each of the sample chamber and the mixing chamber and another side connected to the waste chamber. A first pneumatic flow path to which pneumatic pressure is provided is connected to a waste flow path that joins the other side of the metering chamber to connect the metering chamber and the waster chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220005568
Abstract: Various embodiments include methods, computer program products and systems for analyzing reported adverse event (AE) data about a pharmaceutical, vaccine or medical device. In some cases, that reported AE data is unstructured. In these cases, a method can include: applying a natural language processing (NLP) filter to the unstructured reported AE data to generate an initial set of reporting codes for the unstructured reported AE data; providing the initial set of reporting codes for review by a healthcare professional, to either verify each of the reporting codes or modify at least one of the reporting codes, and generating a refined set of reporting codes based upon the review; and creating a safety case report linking the pharmaceutical, vaccine or medical device with the refined set of reporting codes. In additional embodiments, the safety report is provided to relevant authorities according to prescribed reporting criteria.

  • Patent number: 10972483
Abstract: Electronic communications passing through a communication gateway or similar device for an enterprise can be monitored for indicators of malicious activity. When potentially malicious activity is identified, a user-based inquiry can be employed to identify potential sources of the malicious activity within the enterprise network. More specifically, by identifying a user that sourced the communication, instead of or in addition to a network address, devices within the enterprise network associated with the user can be located, analyzed, and remediated as appropriate.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 6, 2021
    Assignee: Sophos Limited

  • Patent number: 10514797
Abstract: A method includes one or more processors of an electronic device receiving signals from multiple sensors located along an edge of the device. The signals are received in response to external contact being provided to the edge of the device. At least one processor determines a distribution of forces applied to the sensors based on the input signals. Based on the determined distribution of forces, the processor determines: i) a location of the external contact that is offset from a location of each of the multiple sensors, and ii) a magnitude of the force of the external contact. The processor detects whether sensing criteria has been satisfied based on an analysis of: i) the location of the external contact and ii) the magnitude of the force of the external contact. Responsive to detecting that sensing criteria has been satisfied, the processor executes a user input action.

  • Patent number: 10068508
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for measuring consistency of animation and/or video rendering on a device, and providing a user with an indication of one or more consistency scores of the user's device. The consistency score indicates generally the consistency of user experience that is expected for the user device. In some cases, the consistency score is calculated based upon the differences in rendering times between adjacent frames in an animation, and/or the number of frames that have a render difference that differs from a standard or baseline value. A consistency score also may be based upon the framerate achievable by the device when rendering a video at a constant quality.

  • Publication number: 20080103937
Abstract: A system for remote maintenance for a machine. The system includes a database having information for a plurality of machines. A customer accesses the database in order to receive an illustration of at least one of said plurality of machines. Thereafter, the customer identifies a position of the machine illustration and is provided with ordering data for that portion of the machine (e.g., a machine component, sub-component or part). Using this ordering data the customer can order parts of its machine. Additionally, using an imaging device, such as a digital camera, the customer can transmit images of the machine to an off-site expert and receive real-time information related to the assembly, installation, repair or maintenance of the machine.
