  • Patent number: 5635955
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus for supporting one's limbs, preferably one's arms, while at a work station which may be a computer keyboard. The apparatus includes a pair of rollers mounted on an axle. The rollers are especially adapted to support the forearms and will rotate as well as move in axial directions. The rollers are maintained at a predetermined distance from the work station and are adjustable in the horizontal and vertical directions. A sensor is mounted on the axle and is periodically contacted by the rollers to provide information to the computer. By various methods of sensing roller movement, the rollers may generate data for computer or machine control as well as support the arms in various tasks.

  • Patent number: 5271571
Abstract: A perforated cylindrical receptacle is fitted within the main cylinder of an ordinary sink drain. A conical elevation of the bottom of the receptacle provides at the apex, a bearing point for a propeller, which may spin by the flow of draining fluid to free and fragment debris. By depressing a spring loaded bearing point, the same propeller can be used to manually force the propeller against the floor of the receptacle to crush and grind more resistant material. A plug placed below the receptacle and prop assembly can be raised or lowered by rotation of the assembly. The assembly is removable for cleaning and inspection.

  • Patent number: 5260696
Abstract: A conventional monoplane mouse is constructed to move on a flat surface upon a single plane within which a contained sphere may rotate tangential with the single plane contacting the flat surface. Signals for XY cursor movement are derived from two or more counting sensors positioned at an equator of the rotatable sphere parallel with the single plane. The mouse invention defines two or more facets in the underside housing. The facet mouse can be tilted to one of the exclusive facets and moved on a flat surface to generate XY signals. The facet plane selected by tilt is identified by triggered pressure sensitive switches at each facet plane. The switches also function as undercarriage feet to define the virtual plane of contact to the flat surface. The facet planes in two and four facet embodiments are oriented with the orthogonally placed sphere counting sensors so that the intersect of any two opposing facets is parallel with the plane of rotation of one of the counting wheels.

  • Patent number: 5141166
Abstract: A device that can be inserted in an ordianry sink drain and disintegrate trapped debris by rotary motion of a rotor blade. Debris in flowing drainage is trapped in perforations of a receptacle cylinder. The rotor blade which is mounted centrally within a receptacle cylinder is actuated by linear strokes of a steeply pitched threaded rod passing through the threaded bore of the rotor. The upper part of the threaded rod includes a finger grip and a perforated cap piece with a mated and perforated gate cap which may function as an upper strainer obstacle when fitted within the main cylinder of the sink drain. When the cap is closed and moved within the drain main cylinder, it can impart a final compressive force downward.

  • Patent number: 5129715
Abstract: A portable desk with a work surface panel supported between two support compartments which are hinged. Each support compartment not only is foldable from a right angle position of support to a parallel storage folded inward and beneath the work surface panel, but also is foldable from the right angle support position outward and parallel to the work surface panel. An interposed hingeable piece allows the combined support compartments and panel to bifold outward and bridge the space between two surfaces such as the arms of an armchair or bedrails.

  • Patent number: 4969698
Abstract: A portable desk having a work surface panel is supported over a seated user by support compartments which extend to the seat surface during use. The support compartment folds to the underside of the work surface panel when not in use so that the desk can be freestanding on the work surface panel front edge. The support compartments provide storage for books and a pencil holder. A drawer beneath the work surface panel is slideable in two directions, toward the user for access and away from the user to support books or papers proximate the work surface panel and is sandwiched between the work surface panel and the storage compartments when the storage compartment are folded under the work surface panel.
