  • Patent number: 7887000
Abstract: A lifting element for a drum of a grinding mill to be used for grinding of ores and minerals. The lifting element is attachable to a frame of the drum and extending in the longitudinal direction of the drum. The lifting element includes a flexible body and a wear protection element located in the leading edge of the body with respect to the direction of rotation of the drum. The wear protection element includes at least two different parts manufactured of different materials having toughness and hardness different from each other.

  • Patent number: 6726139
Abstract: A method and apparatus for feeding a thread to a textile machine in a twist-free manner, which thread has a band-like character. The thread is taken twist-free from a stock and is stored on a stationary storage drum in a thread feeding apparatus. The thread feeding apparatus has a rotatable central shaft and a winding element which protrudes therefrom. During operation of the thread feeding apparatus, functional twists are produced in the thread only during the transition from the central shaft into the winding element. The twists are inhibited from being transported oppositely to the thread path direction and are regularly conveyed to the storage drum in almost perfect match with the rotations of the central shaft. At least one guide gap that is stationary in relation to the central shaft is provided along the thread path in the area of transition of the central shaft into the winding element.

  • Publication number: 20030122018
Abstract: The invention relates to a thread that is fed to a textile machine in a twist-free manner and has a band-like character. The thread is taken from a stock in a twist-free manner and is mounted on a stationary storage drum in a thread feeding appliance having a rotatable central shaft and a winding element which protrudes therefrom and towards the outside. Said thread is supplied to the textile machine in an overhead manner and by means of the storage drum. During operation of the thread feeding appliance, functional twists are produced in the thread only during transition from the central shaft into the winding element. Said twists are inhibited from being transported back against the thread path direction and, together with the thread, are regularly conveyed to the storage drum in almost perfect match with the rotations of the central shaft.

  • Patent number: 5360174
Abstract: An arrangement for recording the instant volume of grinding charge in the mill drum of a rotary drum mill of the kind provided with an internal lifting device. In order to enable the volume of grinding charge to be used in a better way as a parameter for controlling mill operation, the lifting device is resilient and is provided with a load detecting device which, during each drum revolution, detects when the lifting device comes into engagement with, and is in engagement with the grinding charge present in the drum and leaves, or is caused to leave, engagement with the grinding charge. The arrangement also includes a tension sensing device which registers the tension on the load detector, this tension being contingent on the load to which the lifting device is subjected by the grinding charge.

  • Patent number: 4868769
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for determination of basic values from a material specimen to analyze the vulcanization characteristic of the material and to enable measuring of a vulcanization process during the vulcanization in a rapid and safe manner. According to the method the specimen is shaped with resulting true measured values under pressure and at a temperature preferably in excess of 100.degree. C. to a predetermined form and thickness between two electrodes with plane-parallel sides facing each other which during the shaping process are brought into an intimate contact with the shaped body to form together a capacitor, the capacitance and loss angle of this capacitor being measured and recorded together and simultaneously with the temperature of at least one of the two electrodes as the basic values.

  • Patent number: 4824705
Abstract: Insulated pipe especially but not exclusively intended for subsea pipelines for transport of oil, gas and similar products which pipe comprises a steel pipe as core, a layer of corrosion protection material, a layer of thermally insulating material surrounding this and an external protective layer surrounding the insulating layer. To improve such insulated pipes so that they are capable of resisting occurring stresses even when placed under water at great depths the three layers contain rubber, the lyaer further containing cork up to 30-70% by volume.

  • Patent number: 4402465
Abstract: This invention relates to a wear metals lining of rubber for rotatable drums with several adjacent sections of separate lifting members, and separate lining plates arranged between these, the lifting members being pressed against the wall of the drum by means of rails secured by mounting bolts, retaining adjacent lining plates and being provided with slits, in which the rails are placed. In order to be able to use soft rubber in such a lining, i.e. a rubber with a hardness below 60 Shore, in the lifting members without giving up the demand on an elastic attachment at least the parts of the slit (4), on which the mounting rail (7) bears, are provided with a fabric (11) taking up the tensile forces arising when the lifting members (3) are exposed to a lateral load.
