  • Patent number: 10759384
Abstract: The disclosure relates to pattern detection unit and associated method. The unit comprises a shift register configured to over-sample a multi-bit input signal such that each bit of the input signal is represented by a plurality of samples in the shift register; and a correlator configured to compare a target pattern with two or more sample-sets, each sample-set comprising a corresponding sample from each of the plurality of samples of each bit, and classify each compared sample-set as one of: an exact match; an inexact match; or a non-match to the target pattern in order to determine whether or not the input signal matches the target pattern.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 13, 2018
Date of Patent: September 1, 2020
    Assignee: NXP B.V.
    Inventors: Stylianos Perissakis, Martin Posch

  • Publication number: 20180029561
Abstract: The present disclosure there is provided a pattern detection unit (300; 400) comprising a shift register (302; 402) configured to over-sample a multi-bit input signal such that each bit of the input signal is represented by a plurality of samples in the shift register (302; 402); and a correlator (304; 404) configured to compare a target pattern with two or more of the plurality of samples of each bit from the shift register (302; 402) in order to determine whether or not the input signal matches the target pattern.

  • Patent number: 9461536
Abstract: In one example, a method includes receiving a voltage value and comparing the voltage value to a reference voltage value to determine a delta voltage value. The method may also include determining a reference current value based on the delta voltage value. The method may also include receiving a current value and comparing the current value to the reference current value to determine a delta current value. The method may also include determining a threshold value based on the delta current value, where the threshold value is used to define a control signal that controls a power converter.

  • Patent number: 9444332
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a controller for a switched mode power supply includes an average current comparator that determines whether an average current within the switched mode power supply is below a current threshold, and a switch signal generation circuit coupled to the average current comparator having switch signal outputs configured to be coupled to a switching circuit of the switched mode power supply. The switch signal generation circuit produces a first switching pattern in a first mode of operation and produces a second switching pattern a second mode of operation. When the average current comparator determines that the average current is below the current threshold, the switch signal generation circuit is operated in a first mode, and when the average current comparator determines that the average current is not below the current threshold, the switch signal generation circuit is operated in a second mode.
