  • Publication number: 20110107606
Abstract: The present invention discloses a long reach pruner using movements and engagements of a blade unit, a first connection device, a second connection device, and an adjust device to adjust the swing range of the blade unit. The adjust device has a rotation element connected to a first press-fit element having a male thread on the surface thereof. When the rotation element is rotated downward, the male thread is driven to screw into a female thread of the first connection device and then fixed there; meanwhile, ratchet teeth of the first connection device engage with a ratchet of the second connection device. When the rotation element is rotated upward, the male thread is driven to screw out from the female thread and then fixed there; meanwhile, the ratchet teeth is separated from the ratchet. Thereby, the swing angle of the blade unit is adjusted and then fixed.

  • Publication number: 20110000026
Abstract: A retractile-fixing structure for a scissors comprises an inner tube having recessions and an outer tube allowing the inner tube to slide thereinside and having a handle and a fixing hole. One end of the retractile-fixing structure has a connection member connected with a blade. A switch is arranged in the handle, and a rolling pin is arranged inside the fixing hole. The rolling pin rolls on the inner tube or snap-fits to one recession. A pull rod is arranged between the inner and outer tubes with one end connected to the switch and another end engaging with the rolling pin. When the switch opens, the pull rod is separated from the rolling pin and driven to compress a spring; the rolling pin leaves the recession and slides on the inner tube simultaneously. When the switch closes, the spring makes the pull rod engage with the rolling pin; the rolling pin snap-fits to the recession; the inner tube securely engages with the outer tubes.

  • Patent number: 7658011
Abstract: A lopper includes a slender rod and a pruning means mounted on a top of the rod. The slender rod includes an inner tube and an outer tube telescoped mutually such that the inner tube is shiftable in the outer tube for changing the length it jutting out from the outer tube. An extension-control unit is provided at the border region between the inner tube and the outer tube for positioning the inner tube. A fist actuating unit and a second actuating unit are provided at the outer surface of the outer tube. The fist and second actuating units are connected with the pruning means through a first rope, a second rope and a third rope so that when a user pulls the first or second actuating unit, a shear assembly of the pruning means can be closed to cut branches and leaves of plants.
