  • Patent number: 6386926
Abstract: Serial bus connector terminal main body including: a plastic main body having a central seat section, an electric connecting seat projecting from a first side of the central seat section and a lead connecting seat projecting from a second side thereof; multiple terminals, the front section of each terminal being defined as an electric connecting section lying on the electric connecting seat of the plastic main body, the rear section of each terminal being defined as a lead connecting section, the lead connecting sections being upward and downward interlacedly arranged on the upper and lower faces of the lead connecting seat of the main body; and at least one common terminal having a first electric connecting section. A lead connecting section extends from rear side of the first electric connecting section. A connecting plate is laterally interconnected between the front portion of the first electric connecting section and a second electric connecting section.

  • Patent number: 6129581
Abstract: A high frequency serial bus connector is provided. The connector includes a main body within which a plurality of terminal members are respectively received for connection with the signal and power wires of a shielded cable. The connector also includes a wire clamping member that clamps securely together a power wire and the signal wire shielding meshes of the cable. The clamping member is formed with a clamping section from which an insertion pin extends longitudinally and an arcuate soldering plate extends laterally. The insertion pin engages a fixing cavity formed in the main body, while the soldering plate engages an adjacent terminal member.

  • Patent number: 5879196
Abstract: A cable connecting structure of serial bus connector, including a main body, multiple contacts inserted in the main body and a cover member covering the main body. The main body includes a rear retaining seat formed with multiple guide channels, a front coupling seat formed with multiple guide cavities, and multiple through holes passing through the main body to communicate with the guide channels and the guide cavities. Each contact includes a rear cable connecting section, a front conductive coupling section and a locating section interconnecting the cable connecting section with the conductive coupling section. The cable connecting section is received in the guide channel of the retaining seat in a bridge pattern and connected with a front end of a cable. The conductive coupling section is received in the guide cavity of the coupling seat in a bridge pattern. The locating section is engaged in the through hole of the main body.

  • Patent number: 5725395
Abstract: A universal serial bus connector includes a plastic housing sandwiched between a lower casing and an upper casing. The lower casing has a hollow cartridge in its front section for accommodating the plastic housing. The upper casing is placed upon the lower casing to close the opening of the hollow cartridge. A stopper plate upwardly projecting from the bottom of the cartridge and a stopper plate downwardly projecting from a face board of the upper casing prevent inadvertent displacement of the plastic housing. A resilient sensing protuberance projects from the bottom of the cartridge to engage a dent on the bottom of the plastic housing and to generate a distinct sound which indicates that the plastic housing is in its proper position.

  • Patent number: 5174780
Abstract: A slant memory module socket assembly including an inserting latches, retaining portions, and positioning pegs. The positioning pegs and inserting latches are injection molded and can be secured to both ends of an insulated base. The positioning pegs have at least two elastic positioning pieces which can be securely retained in holes provided in a printed circuit board in such a manner so as to maintain a gap or space "d" between the insulative housing and circuit board during a tin welding process. A pinching portion is provided which has elasticity, so that inner stress of the pinching portion and of a flexible connecting portion can be averagely dispersed to each part so that there will little possibility for either part to experience plastic deformation or transformation.

  • Patent number: 5169333
Abstract: A single in line memory module (SIMM) socket includes an inlaiding member comprising a retention post, mounting portion and latch member. The mounting portion can be securely mounted into the mounting hole on the insulating housing of socket for retaining the memory module with the latch member. Further with the retention post the whole socket can be secured to the printed circuit board so that the spacing between the socket and printed circuit board can be prevented from increasing during the soldering process. Morever it is very convenient for releasing the socket from the printed circuit board once it were damaged.

  • Patent number: 5061200
Abstract: A contact element used in a low insertion force electrical connector for connecting a daughter printed circuit board on a mother board includes a U-shaped base secured in a connector housing slot. A bow-shaped clamping portion suspendedly disposed in the U-shaped base for clamping the daughter printed circuit board. A winding resilient connecting portion integrally connected between one end of the U-shaped base and the bow-shaped clamping portion. A supporting portion integrally formed at the U-shaped base and disposed under the bow-shaped clamping portion for supporting thereunder.
