Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for providing targeted applications within a search engine results page. The method and system includes receiving a search query from a user and interpreting the search query. The method and system then first maps the interpreted query to one or more action templates, wherein mapping the interpreted query to one or more action templates comprises selecting one or more actions associated with the interpreted query. The method and system then maps the selected one or more actions associated with the interpreted query to a plurality of applications and selecting one or more applications associated with the one or more actions. Finally, the method and system displays the one or more applications within a search results page.

Abstract: An apparatus supporting MTC in an LTE environment including an LTE modem and a CDMA modem. The LTE modem accesses a first wireless network and executes first data transactions, where the first wireless network comports with LTE standards. The CDMA modem is operationally coupled to the LTE modem, and accesses a second wireless network and executes second data transactions, where the second wireless network comports with one or more CDMA-based standards. The CDMA modem includes an inter-radio access technology (IRAT) API element and an inter-process communication (IPC) module. The IRAT API element is configured to send/receive IRAT messages via function calls to/from the LTE modem, where the IRAT messages remain the same regardless of interface requirements for the LTE modem. The IPC module is coupled to the IRAT API element, and is configured to generalize the function calls to enable the CDMA modem to interoperate with the LTE modem.

Abstract: System and method for handling multiple connection requests between an Access Terminal (AT) and an Access Network (AN). The method may include receiving a first connection request. Connection request information regarding a number of connection requests may be updated based on receiving the first connection request. If there is not a currently active wireless connection, a connection may be established between the AT and the AN. If there is a currently active wireless connection, a notification may be sent indicating that the wireless connection between the AT and the AN has been established. A connection release request may be received. Accordingly, the update connection request information may be updated based on receiving the connection release request. If there is not a currently active wireless connection, the wireless connection between the AT and the AN may be closed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for weighting contemporaneous content including, in response to a user content request, determining a plurality of contemporaneous content items relating to the user content request, the contemporaneous content items including ultra-fresh content items having been only recently generated. In the method and system, for each of the contemporaneous content items, identifying one or more authors of the content items and determining an expertise level for the one or more authors and determining an expert weighting for each of the content items based on the expertise level for the corresponding one or more authors. The light emitter generates light in response to a control signal coupled thereto. The light emitter is characterized by an age related to the amount of light that has been cumulatively generated by the light emitter, the generated light for a given control signal changing with the age. The controller measures the age of the light emitter and generates the control signal based on the desired light intensity and the measured age of the light emitter. In one embodiment, the controller stores an age value for the light emitter, and the controller determines the control signal in response to an input signal specifying a desired light intensity from the light emitter, the controller updating the age value each time the control signal is determined.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for customized search results in an advanced search results page including vertical searching pivot points for personalizing and refining searching operations. The method includes tracking user network activities and receiving a search query from the user, the search query including a plurality of search terms. The method and system includes identifying a plurality of preferred content sources based on the tracked network activities and retrieving content items in response to the search query.
