Abstract: In an embodiment, systems and methods for identifying fraudulent claims is provided. When a claim is received from a medical provider, contact information associated with a patient is determined. The contact information is used to generate and send a message to the patient asking the patient to confirm that the claim is not fraudulent or asking the patient to confirm certain details associated with the claim such as the associated medical procedures, the date of the procedures, and the names of any medical providers associated with the medical procedures. If the patient confirms the claim, the claim may be processed normally using an auto-adjudication process. If the patient cannot confirm the claim or certain aspects of the claim, the claim may be flagged for further review and fraud processing or may even be denied.
