  • Publication number: 20210095369
Abstract: Provided here are sensors characterized by strain-insensitivity, the sensors comprising: a sheet in electrical communication with a positive electrode and a negative electrode; wherein the sheet comprises: an electrically conductive primary layer in electrical communication with the positive electrode and the negative electrode; at least one active-sensing region comprising at least one sensor-portion of the primary layer and in electrical communication with the positive electrode and the negative electrode; wherein the sensor is configured to perform sensing during use at the at least one active-sensing region; and at least one perforated region having a perforation design configured to provide for the sensor's strain-insensitivity.

  • Patent number: 10191879
Abstract: A method for creating snapshots and backups in a virtual computing environment is provided. The method includes writing application output of an application spanning one or more virtual machines as an application consistency group to a writeback cache, wherein the one or more virtual machines are implemented using one or more compute nodes and wherein the writeback cache is implemented in direct attached storage in the one or more compute nodes. The method includes pausing I/O (input/output) operations of the application and marking the pausing, in the writeback cache. The method includes resuming the I/O operations of the application, after the marking and dumping data, according to the marking, from the writeback cache to a data node, as a snapshot.

  • Patent number: 9806958
Abstract: The disclosed computer-implemented method for enabling multiple-perspective administration of computing systems may include (1) receiving, from a user, a request to administer a computing system that includes a plurality of types of components, (2) identifying an administrative role of the user, (3) identifying a primary component of a primary type of component that is administered by the user in the administrative role, (4) identifying a secondary component of a secondary type of component that is not administered by the user in the administrative role, and (5) providing, via a graphical user interface, a perspective of the computing system to the user that (a) enables the user to administer the computing system by administering the primary component and view information about the secondary component in terms of the primary component and (b) prevents the user from administering the secondary component. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9213618
Abstract: The present disclosure provides storage management systems and methods. A hierarchical configuration information process includes accessing information regarding hierarchical relationships of components associated with a storage environment. A storage resource consumption detection process includes detecting consumption of storage resources included in the storage environment. A coordinated consumption analysis process is coordinated across multiple levels of an active spindle hierarchy. A reaction process includes performing an automated consumption notification process and an automated reclamation process based upon results of the storage resource consumption detection process.

  • Publication number: 20130073914
Abstract: Storage management systems and methods are presented. In one embodiment, a method comprises: performing a hierarchical configuration information process, including accessing information regarding hierarchical relationships of components associated with a storage environment; performing a storage resource consumption detection process, including detecting consumption of storage resources included in the storage environment; and performing a coordinated consumption analysis process in which at least part of an analysis of the consumption of the storage resources is coordinated across multiple levels of an active spindle hierarchy. In one embodiment, a reaction process is performed. The reaction process can include performing an automated consumption notification process and an automated reclamation process based upon results of the storage resource consumption detection process.
