Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems, and processes for migration between storage tiers. Such a method, for example, can include extracting one or more characteristics of a replication workload, determining one or more storage costs of each storage tier of a plurality of storage tiers (where the one or more storage costs are determined for the replication workload and the one or more storage costs are determined based, at least in part, on the one or more characteristics), identifying one or more storage tiers of the plurality of storage tiers (where the identifying is based, at least in part, on the one or more storage costs), and migrating at least a portion of the replication workload from a target storage unit in an initial storage tier to a storage unit in the one or more storage tiers.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems that include receiving updated operating system information, encrypting the updated operating system information, and updating a map file. The updated operating system information is received at an encryption virtual machine. The encrypting the updated operating system information results in the encrypted updated operating system information. The encrypting the updated operating system information is managed by the encryption virtual machine. The updated operating system information is encrypted in response to receipt of the updated operating system information. The updated operating system information is encrypted using an encryption key.

A replication stream is received from a replication appliance that is configured to replicate data to a storage tier of multiple storage tiers. Each storage tier differs from at least one other storage tier in at least one storage characteristic. Portions of the replication stream are identified based on input/output (I/O) characteristics. The portions are stored in one storage tier other than the storage tier based on the I/O characteristics, and a storage cost associated with each storage tier, where the storage cost associated with each storage tier is based on storage characteristics of each storage tier.

Abstract: Various systems, methods, and processes to protect virtual machine data in cloud computing environments are disclosed. A request for application data is received. The application data is encrypted, the request is received at an encryption virtual machine, and the encryption virtual machine is configured to receive the request from application virtual machines via loaders. A map file is accessed to identify an application virtual machine for which the application data is requested and the application data is accessed in a storage volume. The storage volume is communicatively coupled to the encryption virtual machine, and the encryption virtual machine is coupled between the application virtual machines and the storage volume. The application data is received from the storage volume and decrypted at the encryption virtual machine. The decrypted application data is sent to the loaders.

The portions are stored in one storage tier other than the storage tier based on the I/O characteristics, and a storage cost associated with each storage tier, where the storage cost associated with each storage tier is based on storage characteristics of each storage tier.

Abstract: Various systems, methods, and processes to protect virtual machine data in a cloud environment are disclosed. A request for requested data is received at an encryption virtual machine. The requested data is encrypted, and the encryption virtual machine is configured to receive the request from an application virtual machine via a loader. The requested data includes one or more operating system modules, and the operating system modules are configured to be used by the application virtual machine. The requested data is accessed in a storage volume, which is communicatively coupled to the encryption virtual machine. The requested data is then retrieved from the storage volume and decrypted at the encryption virtual machine. The decrypted data is then sent to the loader.

Abstract: There are disclosed methods, computer-readable media, and apparatus for authenticating a target website. A repository that stores data on a plurality of known authentic websites may be provided. The stored data for each of the plurality of known websites may include identifying labels and a signature content set. A target website may be authenticated by comparing the identifying labels and a signature content set of the target website to corresponding data stored in the repository.
