  • Patent number: 9236884
Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for communication within a wireless terminal. The method can be implemented using dedicated logic and managed and controlled by state machines and/or sequencers. Data received or provided in a memory of a first integrated circuit of a terminal is encoded and transmitted in a data packet to a second integrated circuit. A header identifying the data type and providing a destination is included in the data packet. The destination may be identified as a memory address memory of the second integrated circuit that is mapped to a corresponding memory address of the first integrated circuit at which the data is received. In an aspect, the apparatus receives a header, detects an error in the received header, determines a failure to identify a packet boundary when the error is detected, and performs a search operation to identify the packet boundary.

  • Patent number: 9144107
Abstract: Embodiments describe registration in a wireless communication system. A method includes wirelessly transmitting over a WWAN a first registration message from a mobile device, wirelessly transmitting through the WWAN a second registration message to a WLAN access point and receiving at the mobile device access through the WLAN access point. According to another embodiment is a method for constructing a self-configuring ad-hoc network. The method can include receiving a GPS coordinate from a WWAN channel node at a management system and creating an initial topography based at least in part on the GPS coordinate to achieve a network connectivity with diverse routes between a plurality of nodes.

  • Patent number: 6731627
Abstract: A loop carrier system includes a home local area network having plural telephone modules and a hub coupled to in-home telephone wiring. The telephone modules and the hub communicate voice signals over the in-home wiring in a dedicated frequency band above baseband POTS. The hub converts between voice signals and voice packets and is connected to a network access device for transferring the voice packets from the home local area network to a telecommunications network which routes the voice packets to a gateway. The gateway converts between the voice packets and a circuit format compatible with a local digital voice switch.
