  • Publication number: 20230357165
Abstract: Compounds having Structure I are provided for treating diseases and disorders for which inhibition or modulation of the Ubiquitin Ligase COP1 enzyme produces a physiologically beneficial response, in particular for the treatment of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD). These compounds having Structure I are capable of increasing the level of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL). Also provided is the process of preparing compounds having Structure I.

  • Publication number: 20230215678
Abstract: A HELAC device includes a semiconductor layer that absorbs incident photons, a graphene monolayer disposed over the semiconductor layer, and an insulator layer interposed between the semiconductor layer and graphene monolayer. The graphene monolayer is configured as a gate for the HELAC device while the insulator layer is configured to allow a voltage drop between the semiconductor layer and graphene. Advantageously, the HELAC device is configured to receive photons on an emitter surface and to emit hot electrons therefrom.

  • Publication number: 20170060826
Abstract: A system and method for automatic sentence and/or clause level topic extraction and text summarization to quickly render relevant textual summaries from original text of any length, including receiving input text, recognizing sentences or clauses in the input text, and extracting triples in the form of subject-action-object. Subjects referenced multiple times are combined together as one subject entry while adding, to each subject entry, multiple verb connectors and object nodes that relate to that subject entry. Each subject's level of importance is calculated and ranked based on number of objects so that topics with the highest degree edges are selected first and used as the basis of the summarization.

  • Publication number: 20170060996
Abstract: A system and method for sentiment analysis of any size of homogenous textual documents, including receiving at least one document, and parsing the at least one document to obtain n-grams of selected words and phrases. The n-grams are matched, and sentiment is determined based on the matched n-grams by weighted counting of words representing positive and negative sentiments. At least one output representative of the sentiment analysis is then generated.

  • Publication number: 20160171050
Abstract: A distributed Analytical search for data irrespective of location, content or format for querying multiple data sources by users who have no foreknowledge of the location or content of the data or metadata. Distributed Analytical Search (DAS) allows a user to pose natural language questions to multiple data stores of both structured and unstructured data of any size simultaneously without the user needing to know anything about the metadata of the source or sources and without any specialized knowledge of SQL or other computing technologies. Natural language queries are translated into machine recognizable queries and sub-queries based on database wrapper and then automatically executed on all or selected nodes in the domain, with the data owner(s) maintaining autonomy over their respective data stores.

  • Publication number: 20060233344
Abstract: An automated agent system and method includes an action classifier which scores a representation of a portion of a user inquiry based on a knowledge bank. A comparing device compares a running score of the representation to a threshold to determine if enough information has been collected to respond early to the inquiry. An action mechanism provides an early response to the user prior to the user completing the inquiry if the threshold has been exceeded.
