Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for integrating native software help content with content from other data sources (e.g., community and/or expert sources). When a user signals that they'd like to engage a software help resource from one of various entry points within the software, the user is redirected to a search engine and a partial search query is formulated based upon perceived user intent and context within the software application. At least one attribute of a computing ecosystem associated with the user computing device is appended to the partial search query to create a complete search query and the complete search query is supplied to the search engine. The native help authority is integrated with contextual web results and both are presented to the user.

Abstract: The disclosed subject matter is generally related to including a download option of a software module from within a search results page. In response to receiving a search query from a user, search results responsive to the search query are identified. The search query is analyzed to detect an intent to download a software module. If an intent to download a software module is detected, a search results page is generated from the search results and further includes a user-actionable control for initiating a process for downloading a corresponding software module to a target computer associated with the user.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to social event searching. In aspects, a search engine may receive a query regarding a social event. The search engine may obtain static data that indicates a ranking of the event based on overall popularity and may change the ranking based on social data that is particular to the user issuing the query. The search results may be ordered by the ranking and returned together with other social data to a search component such as a Web browser. The Web browser may then display the results together with the other social data. The Web browser may receive additional input from the user regarding preferences and may provide the input to a backend system for use to satisfy subsequent social event queries.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for managing event data and exploring the event data in an event database are provided. A data acquisition system may process the event database to remove duplicates and assign event data ranks to the event data. The event data rank may be based on query log data. In turn, a search engine communicatively connected to the event database may generate search results that include the event data. The search engine may receive an event data search request from a user. The event data matching the event data search request is retrieved from the event database and formatted, by the search engine, for display in rank order based on the event data rank, proximity of user location to an event location, and extent of query match in various event fields like title, description, etc.

Abstract: Technologies are described herein for providing high-fidelity scalable annotations. Annotations made to meeting content during a hosted online meeting are recorded separately from the meeting content itself. At playback time, the annotations are rendered separately from the meeting content. Because the annotations are rendered separately from the meeting content at playback time, the annotations can be scaled without loss of clarity and visual effects can be applied to the annotations independently of the meeting content.

An apparatus may comprise a capture module operative to record multiple data tracks from multiple sources for a multimedia event, a publishing module operative to publish the recorded multiple data tracks in a universal format, an authentication module operative to authenticate a client to access the published multiple data tracks, and a recordings management module operative to manage access to meeting content for one or more of the published multiple data tracks on a selective basis in response to client search and retrieval requests.
