  • Patent number: 6081079
Abstract: A horizontal deflection drive circuit using a plurality of FETs is provided, which includes a base drive current supply for receiving an oscillation pulse in a low level generated by an oscillation element, to perform switching operation, a P-channel FET for receiving the oscillation pulse in a low level generated by the oscillation element, and receiving current from the base drive current supply, to perform switching operation, an N-channel FET for receiving an oscillation pulse in a high level generated by the oscillation element, to perform switching operation, and a drive transformer for inducing current supplied from a deflection current supply according to the switching operations of the P-channel FET and N-channel FET, the P-channel FET being switched by the current supplied from the base drive current supply.

  • Patent number: 6051928
Abstract: A plasma display panel includes front and rear substrates; anodes in a stripe pattern on a facing surface of the front substrate; a lower electrode coating the entire facing surface of the rear substrate; a dielectric layer coating the lower electrode; an upper electrode coating the dielectric layer in a pattern; and a lattice of partition walls between the upper electrode and the front substrate. The portions of the dielectric layer between the partition walls and not coated with the upper electrode form respective pixels. Sputtering is minimized and there is less damage to the electrodes by the gas, thus extending the length of use of the product. The ferroelectric material of the lower electrode has excellent resistance with respect to the discharge gas and the discharge can be initiated with a low initial discharge starting voltage since the ferroelectric cathode provides enough electrons for the discharge.

  • Patent number: 5994852
Abstract: A wide band high voltage stabilizing circuit supplies optimum voltage to a fly back transformer (FBT) according to the change of horizontal frequency or high voltage by connecting a charge storage unit and switching element to a primary coil of the FBT, the switching element being turned on or off according to a switching signal which a microcomputer recognizing a horizontal sync frequency signal applies corresponding to a frequency band.

  • Patent number: 5982083
Abstract: A cathode for an electron tube includes a layer of a electron emitting substance containing alkaline earth metal oxides containing 0.01--20.0 wt % of both a lanthanum compound and a magnesium compound or a lanthanum-magnesium compound disposed on a base metal including nickel as a major component and tungsten as a minor component. The tungsten prevents embrittlement and ensures a continuing supply of fill barium in the electron-emitting substance. The cathode enjoys full interchangeability with the conventional oxide cathode and a 15-30% longer life span.
